1:25K maps are great for navigating in farmed countryside where there are lots of field boundaries, but on the windy hill tops, with fewer boundaries, (of the Lake District or Snowdonia for example) you don't need all the information that a 1:25K map offers. You need the more succinct 1:50K map which also needs a smaller map fold for the same area walked. This video over-simplifies something that is actually very nuanced.
