I wanna try a mead, I usually homebrew. I don’t wanna wait 1 year though. Can I make a 5-7% abv mead and be ready in a month?? Asking for a friend.

ben perry raw honey still has wild yeasts in it better to use pasteurized honey then add yeast to it that’s what I have been told

Does Steve do anything with his water for meads?
@chipwalton52387 жыл бұрын
Fletty says he carbon filters all of his water. Beyond that, he doesn't do any additional treatment to it. Saint Paul's water is pretty badass. #ItsGottaBeTheWater

Never had a mead before, but at 16% ABV it sounds like it's a nipper and not a thirst quencher. But interresting. Cheers

Meads can be quite tricky, I recently made a blueberry mead at 14% and it was so drinkable it was insane. Had my father try it without telling him what it was, and how strong it was. He thought it had a very low alcohol content. You'd think it was some sort of still cider at around 5%.

Cool that Saturday is mead day, cause I'd already planned on making a blueberry melomel.

How awesome is that? Party on!

ChopAndBrew Only thing that sucks is that I want it now, not in a few months. That's the one thing I don't like about brewing. The wait.

yay for Scottish ale yeast!
@unclebill51706 жыл бұрын
It would be so hard to replicate that all the extra yeast he put in would add taste to it

Steve Fletty is a blight upon our society. He has been falsely "judging" beer events for decades. Avoid at all costs!!!
