harmonically, i have always been "wtf is happening?!? what is this feeling!?!" this coda is truly madness :D

thats so true. it feels like a storm to me, and the further it gets, the clearer and simpler - harmonically too!

in the first half of coda its very unstable and goes through a lot of keys revolving around f minor and also chromatic/diminished thirds but then it becomes a clear f minor/d flat major

For the beginning, I used to group by 4 instead of 3 to get a smoother legato and avoid accents. For the raise with 5th at right hand, one can "cheat" taking ees and a with left hand thumb.

For the raise thats what i do, its not cheating as some people call it, just makes it less technically difficult

I've learned ballade 1 and 2 years ago. Of course it was never professional playing, just casual hobby and fun of playing them. Now I'm learning the ballade 4, and damn I'm just at right after the second verse. The coda sounds absolutely fantastic, but I gotta go step by step and keep that for the last 😂

Thanks for the feedback! Well, I do mainly exercises on technique and sometimes specifically for certain pieces. But I'm not trained in jazz or pop music unfortunately, so that would be out of my reach.

Thanks for your comment! A lot of pieces in queue but I'll try. Actually, if you tell me what specifically you're having trouble with i can reply straightaway and maybe help your arpeggios. whats the challenge you're facing?
@conlanmccracken4968
@conlanmccracken4968 3 жыл бұрын
thank you for replying! i have smaller hands so getting the stretches and fingering for the melody while doing the arpeggios is difficult, also in some sections it is difficult to do the arpeggios with just one hand while the right hand is playing a melody.
@PianoTechSupport
@PianoTechSupport 3 жыл бұрын
@@conlanmccracken4968 Ok, I can definitely see that being a problem, but not impossible to solve. What we cant change is the physical side of things, like the handspan, however it is true that we can stretch the hands and get some extra millimeters out of it - I have experienced this myself and on others. Regardless, I think what you need to work on at the moment is to let go of the fingers faster - even if the Arpeggios should be legato, you can think of them like non-legato or even staccato for now. Play light and keep your fingers active, so they dont get "stuck" while you are shifting your hand around to do the rest of the arpeggio. In the end, I can totally see a non-legato with pedal underneath achieving a good performance for that piece. Thats probably all the info I can give through a youtube comment, so I hope it helps!
