Please put the English subtitles to let the people understand what he says. It's a good lecture. Worth watching. いい動画なのでよろしくお願いします。

Wonderful demonstration - especially for the small handed player. Love the emphasis on harmony (La re so do!) and the need to relax the hand, synthesising movements with special attention to the most treacherous changes!
Thank you. I dont understand your languishe but your demostration is fantastic. So i can learen a lot. Thanks

(guest) Wish we could have subtitles.... Clearly very informative... some standard musical words, e.g. "arpeggio"....."harmony"..."phrasing".... "crescendo"..."diminuendo" You can still understand approximately what he means just by following the examples given. 🎼😊🎼❤🎼🇬🇧🎼
oh my god, wish I could be the just the wheel, or one of the keys in this piano lesson ---- the pupil can play this piece better than most concert pianists, not to mention the master :)

Don't understand the language but I do see what he is driving at. Muscling your way through is not the way nor should the fingers be the only thing involved in this work whereas there are many vertical aspects to learning this study.

It's always great when someone who can't play a piece teaches how to play it
@RevantuZ6 жыл бұрын
kzbin.info/www/bejne/aobFoYdtjqiWd6s He has obviously learnt to the play the piece properly at some point, and was a bit out of practice at the time of this masterclass.
@MrLiamfa2 жыл бұрын
@@Yadeehoo That's just how master classes are. Usually the student brings a piece that they're working on, that the teacher doesn't necessarily know. The teacher then gives tips on technique and musicality. In this case though, I'm pretty sure he know how to play it, but just hasn't practiced it in a while.

geez, this 'incompetent' guy created the BEST EVER recording of Chopin's revolutionary etude, not to mention he was given a 3rd prize at the International Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw -- what would be good enough for you, Chopin resuscitated? Cm'on ... 😃😃😃

I think the student and the teacher too, both of them who need more precision, must be, first of all, in a good posture which allows them overlooking easily the whole range of the key board. The champ of upright spine is Yuja.

***** Don't take my word for it. Listen to it yourself and tell me what you think. As to preparation, this doesn't mean he 'sucks' at piano. Maybe he was rushed-busy and didn't have too much time to prepare for a masterclass. We don't know the circumstances, but he gave invaluable insight regardless and that's what matters most for a masterclass anyway
@dgontar7 жыл бұрын
No, he's right. He can't play it. Any expert pianist can tell that he is unable to play it properly.
@yayoiace7 жыл бұрын
Needless to say he can play this piece perfectly. He was the second runner up at 1990 Chopin competition. Yes, he makes some wrong notes here when he shows various ways( good and bad) to play the phrases with exaggerated motions for the student to understand easily. He just focused on showing his hand movements.This is not his concert but lecture.
