My step grandfather (god rest his merry soul) worked behind the bar at one of Mark's regular drinking holes and got to know him quite well. I've even got some of his old photos of him and a younger fitter Chopper joking around like old buddies over the bar, playing pool and pretending to square up both pulling ridiculous pretend agro faces at each other. Pop wss old school and what was spoken over the bar never left the bar. Old Dave didn't give too much away about him but said while Chopchop was at the bar I always had amnesia. Pop never once spoke out of school about him except to say Uncle Chop was a man of principal and everything happened for a reason, if you weren't putrid scum, a rock spider (pedo), woman basher, heroin dealer, granny basher, Deago (Italian) mobster, a dog (informant) or just a nosey bugga who wouldn't look the other way or become temporarily deaf dumb and blind you had nothing to worry about. Pop was looking forward to catching up with Mark while he was doing the rounds with Rodger the Dodger Rogerson but suffered a massive heart attack and passed before he had the opportunity. Thats my Chopper story but I'm not even going to even pretend I met or knew him.
