We are finishing corn silage today. Started with our New Holland FP 230. Finishing with a Dion F41. Excited to run the Dion. Then back to combining beans

Yeah I'm pretty sure they make one that goes on a deere. I know my buddy has a John Deere and runs a Horning rotary head on it and it does just as good of a job

Boy you can tear through a field with that chopper. When I was cutting we had a single row new Hollander.

Some days even weeks will be like that. When I worked on the college farm one combine had the bean head the other had the corn head and both were running at the same time. It was enough to make my head spin.

What gear do you run while chopping with your 3 row corn head?? & what size is your rear tractor tires??

It depends on the how the corn did. Usually our corn does really well so we chop around 3rd gear. The tractor has 20.8 42s on it

@@mikep7810 I have a JD 4050 MFD 15 speed with 20.8-38 . I pull a NH 900 with a 1402 Horning head & Horning processor. I run 4th gear in good corn!!
