Hey man, maybe this tip might help you, since you wanted the midi notes for each slice. When you open a midi event, select the draw tool (n.3) then hold ALT (or option on Mac) + left click and you will get a ladder of notes :)

You can use the extract groove from audio feature to create a midi part with the exact timing of your break.

Also I've got studio one setup..but i also have reason..which now has it on a rack extension meaning you can have the use of their dr.rex, should help when chopping as I've got lots of rex drum breaks like Ray Keith's jungle breaks.
