I operate a New Holland fp230 with an IH 1486. Good combination. Although this is a very nice John Deere tractor.

The tractor looks in great shape for its age. All those 50 and 55 series are just bullet proof. It seems to handle the 230 pretty well also

I've seen a 4240 handle a Gehl 1065, that 111 horse 466 does a 150 horse job most of the time

Hey we are looking at this model chopper it comes with a 2 row corn head , do you think it could be run by a 120hp tractor ??

It should be able to, we run it with a 110 HP tractor without any problems.

Does that New Holland chopper have knives or teeth? We had a New Holland 880 back in the '80's, great chopper with 22.5" knives. We pulled it with a IH1206, 150hp turned up. We kept three wagons busy with a fourth ready to go. The harvestore was 90' tall which sits, now. Stay away from harvestores!!!

i own a 2550 and a 2955 and let me tell you those tractors have a shit ton of torque for the day especially the 2550
