As the amount of guys that have spoken on their relationship with von, I've always heard them speak on what von did for them. I can't recall anyone other than durk say what they done for him in rerurn. The memories chop shared was mutual. Respect reciprocated amongst them. Like von truly found someone who appreciated him for him and not for what he could do. Chop was an outlet for von. A positive one that challenged him even more to reveal his potential which is why i think von always looked forward to his presence. When he speaks out, i don't see him wanting clout over it.
