Maqsad, a word which means having intention behind every action, is a Rajasthani folk music band consisting of musicians from Central Rajasthan - Kamal, Ishwar and Kartik. They blend the sounds of Kabir, Mirabai, Rupadeh, Ram sa Pir and local bhajans, regional folk songs, songs of struggle.
Hailing from the conflict-ridden region of Kashmir, Ahmad is a singer-songwriter who skilfully combines elements of folk, blues, and rock with the rich tapestry of Urdu and Kashmiri poetry. Infused with a thoughtful political perspective, his music embodies the profound love and deep-rooted attachment he holds for his homeland.
