People keep repeating this, but I think this is misleading - I have no doubt it was learnt over a time period of 4 months, but nowhere near a full 4 months of training. ie: They would've been doing many other things during the same time period.

@@DoubleMonoLR That's dumb comment to make. You're sounding like we're implying they trained 24hours a day for 4 months, which is patently ridiculous. Of course they were doing other things at the time. They most likely had training periods of usually an hour to 2 hours at a time a few times a week. And then I'm sure they also practiced on their own time as well. When you take a cooking class, you certainly don't learn everything in one day. It usually takes a few months of practice to get competent at something. I'm sure this was no different. But ANY dancer will tell you that tuttting is a way harder dance style than it looks.

Lol!!! I’m so happy you guys did this battle!!! I love Baby Don’t Stop, but this battle goes to Naughty. These girls worked on this choreo for a whole 3 months to do the Tuttin. Naughty is literally the hardest choreo in kpop. Tuttin is not easy at all!!

tutting is a style of dance (yes it’s dancing lol) that’s extremely difficult. even though it mostly incorporates arms and fingers, it is hard to execute and you need very good isolation as well as being precise with angles and shapes otherwise it will easily look messy so it beats out baby don’t stop by a mile. also choreography is synchronized dancing so I don’t know where the distinction here is coming from because irene and seulgi were very much dancing. think it’s just a matter of ignorance regarding dance styles in my opinion. excited for more though!

Just gonna chime in here. Seulgi and Irene have different body types. They also are vastly different in height and length of extremities. So to be so in sync and look almost like twins while dancing is already a testament to their skill in executing the choreo. Tutting is the style of dance and so that's what the choreo was. Saying it's like "a tut exhibition" is like saying any choreo with just hip hop moves is "a hip hop exhibition." That's the point, that's the style. Those are the only things he said that annoyed me. It's fine to like BDS more because of the style, but don't try to make an excuse like "there's more dancing" in one when they are BOTH dancing. It don't make sense. Mind you I also love BDS. But Naughty choreo is NON-STOP from 1, and they did that shit in sync. Even when you watch it live in fancam, it's just as engaging and fancams don't move.

No matter how much i love baby don't stop's choreo, naughty wins everytime. For me, dancing is dancing in all forms, rather that be choreo that incorporates mostly leg movements, arm movements (ex: tutting or voguing), or a mix of both. Irene and Seulgi included both and regardless of the camera work, you can still see the full choreo. The moving camera that zoomed in on their hands during the tutting moments were purposely done because there was nothing going on with their legs at that moment. Although I can respect (*cough 👀 ) someone's opinion, I completely disagree with their comments. Thanks for the battle tho!

Naughty is one of those songs that many would Kpop dancers wouldn't even try to cover. It's that hard of a choreo in ALL of Kpop. I mean, all of Kpop. You should look at Seulgi's 28 Reasons dance practice 🔥

All due respect to all the opinions on the channel. The gentleman on the right doesn't seem to understand, or at least doesn't communicate it, that tutting IS a form of dance. Dancing is an art and there are literally hundreds of styles of dance worldwide. Preference in styles of dance shouldn't diminish the legitimacy of other styles. Tutting isn't even in my top 5 favorite styles, but Naughty was a Masterclass. And just to add on, Naughty had elements of tutting, hip hop, and vogueing. If you didn't notice on a first viewing, at several different points in the choreo, they are literally doing hip hop steps at the SAME time that they are doing double counts with their arms, hands, and fingers. At the end of the day, both groups did amazing and I appreciate the love for Kpop.

But Irene and Seulgi also have different styles too, so the fact that they were so in synch is another reason they should win.(not to mention Seulgi is considered one of the top dancers in the industry, top 3 for 3rd gen. There’s a reason that there aren’t other KPOP MVs that feature tutting exclusively. The degree of difficulty, synchronization, and executing perfect angles are challenging enough, let alone the speed in which both Irene and Seulgi execute these moves are INSANE. Keep in mind Seulgi began with SM as a vocalist, and trained hard to became not only Red Velvet’s main dancer but one of the best GG dancers in 3rd gen. As impressive as BDS is, Naughty choreo by degree of difficulty and synchronization IMO wins. I love the juxtaposition of Ten and Taeyoung’s style as well as Irene and Seulgi’s, both teams have contrasting styles but complement each other beautifully, what a great battle! As a side note, many professional dancers have reacted to Naughty with nothing but praise. Apparently they consider these “tutting exhibitions” a great display of Irene and Seulgi’s talent and skills as dancers.

so basically irene and seulgi are the lead and main dancers of redvelvet , they debuted in 2014 and this song is part of there subunit "aesul"that debut in 2020 they have the chemestry and sync bcz they have lived together for around 12+ years now, redvelvet as a group has a different dancing style as they are a vocal heavy group and this unit was just to put out and show off there dancing skills

BDS is my faaaaaavorite NCT comeback... BUT, difficulty wise... Naughty takes it by a mile. (I will say, Jeno and Jaemin's TikTok cover of Naughty is probably my favorite. 😄 That hip move kills me every time.) BDS is purposefully not super uniform, the intention was to show their unique dancing colors. Like Fire and Water, which if I remember correctly is why they chose the hair colors they had for it.

Im a big nctzen and I LOVE LOVE LOVE baby don't stop-BUT naughty wins. When it came out I was absolutely obsessed with it and rewatched it so many times. The choreo is just so intricate and complex and they execute it perfectly. Also idk why that one guy doesn't think tutting is dancing. When I think of naughty- I think of the choreo. When I think of BDS- I think of the MV and song.

For me Baby Don't Stop has so much like class and swag, it's just like in them. They are the music. For Naughty the timing is perfect, and the choreo us literally so hard and doing it really good. But i'm a dancer, and i would say Ten and Taeyong is just very unmatched🙈

What the female duo did was quite stunning O.0 but IMO hand and arms choreo isn't really dancing --IMO-- The male duo it's more interesting in terms of dancing movement and style of dancing from both dancers The song i also prefer BDS and it says A LOT i have heard BDS everywhere even B4 knowing about them but never heard about the other song or choreo which is weird bc it's a pretty amazing choreo!!
