What I love about Stray Kids choreo is that it aligns with lyrics and meaning of the song (for title track at least). I still watch the documentary on Michael Jackson’s last concert preparation. The level of talent in the backup dancers was astounding. MJ’s dance also fits the theme of the songs, too. It p’s like song and dance help each other to a new level. Speaking of backup dancers, the purple (laster dark pink) haired skz dance gem Lee Know has been dancing for over 10 years. He was with one of Seoul’s premier dance troupes and earned money dancing. His dance troupe was selected to be BTS’ backup dancer in MV and its Japan tour. Once that contract was over, he got a call from jyp to join as a trainee (he auditioned a couple of yes ago but didn’t get a call back). He was 19, out of school, and not sure what to next (he said he got certified as a body guard because he’s also an advanced level martial artist) when he got the call. For a couple of years he had to match his teammates’ level. He’s also in charge of performance, getting the team performing ready. He’s very quick to pick up choreo and eagle eyed about member’s mistakes or improvement needed. You know what it takes to be a professional dancer. If you watch Lee Know’s fan cam, compare it to his teammates, you will see the difference. Lee Know’s background and his continuous training is invaluable to get SKZ to be a top performing idol group today.

If you wanna see the choreo I'd recommend their performance of Maniac on Studio Choom, it's absolutely amazing, their dance skills and stage presence really shine in that one (especially Hyunjin, the one with bright red hair, he really goes hard every time. He's very well known for his facial expressions!) They will most likely release a dance practice but we don't know exactly when that will be since unfortunately 6 out of 8 of the members have tested positive for covid-19 recently and one of them has an injured back so unless they've pre-recorded the dance practice, it might take a while so Studio Choom is the next best thing. Studio Choom always has a lot of cool lightning and camera movements though so for me it's more fun to watch than a dance practice hehe

I second Taemin! He is an incredible dancer. One of my faves by him is Famous (there is a performance video) and Sayonara Hitori (performance vid as well). But Move and Advice are incredible too.

But in a way it shows us that we can also train to this level if we work hard for what we are passionate about :) the best of the best work to dress the idols and the idols work themselves to that level of the best, it's insanely incredible.

I really recommend you to see a choreography of the group SEVENTEEN, they are recognized for the quality of their choreography, in addition to the fact that they are part of that creation, their synchronization is really amazing. You could see some of their DANCE PRACTICE like: Don't wanna cry, Very Nice, Home, Getting Closer, etc. I also tell you that they specialize in 3 teams, and among them is the "Perfomance Team" and if you want to see something from them, I really recommend "Lilili yabbay".

Stray kids choreography are very interesting as it is more on the interpretative artistic side. I hope you can check out more of their performances, the dance practice video for maniac hasn't come out yet but they have performed for studio choom already. One member, felix, hurt his back so he's not dancing to the whole song. I think they're waiting for felix to heal before filming the dance practice video so you can watch the studio choom video of maniac for now instead. You can also check out their other songs, i recommend TA and boxer dance video.

They debut on 2018 with 9 members but lost one in 2019 for personal reasons. 3 members are a sub rap unit within stray kids called 3Racha (BangChan blue hair leader, Han white fur hat, Changbin green high light hair) that write, compose, arrange and produce all their own music. 2 members (BangChan blue hair and deep voice Felix) are from Australia and 3 rappers (Changbin green high light, Han white fur hat, Hyunjin red-hair) were in the top ten fastest k-pop rappers in 2021. Stray Kids are incredible. Domino has fantastic choreo! They are the next group to explode in the US. In the future you should look at Ateez as well. HALA HALA is a stand out.

just found your vids so going through them.. just 4 vids in i feel like you're now a kpop stan and totally getting it.. kpop is all about the duality.. the visuals, the style (hair make up clothes), the mix of rap, edm and ballads.. like all in 1.. there is certainly a "sound" to most kpop but the genre itself isn't the music but the whole package..

There is already a dance practice out for Maniac, the live comeback stage is up, a Studio Choom performance, a live vocal performance, and they just came out with the relay dance. I really do recommend Stray Kids' relay dances, they are fresh and fun. They can still nail the dance while improving, goofing off and switching parts.....I'll add my vote for dance practices for Domino, Back Door, Double Knot, Easy, Levanter, God's Menu, Thunderous. If you want a different side of Skz, Levanter is beautiful with a very different mood, but still intense. Stray Kids specializes in grit. They dance hard, while focusing very much on functioning as a team, and the dance practices mentioned above really highlight the stage pictures that can only be made by a team working really well together, not just in timing, but in matching and contrasting body shapes, gestures, and textures. Like almost all successful kpop idols, they are very musical dancers, but because they are dancing to music they composed/produced themselves, they wring out every drop from the music. A very different flavor than BTS or Blackpink, adding some variety to a healthy kpop diet.

As a lot have mentioned, Studio Choom is a really great way to get to see the choreography of different groups and even individual members. I would love to see you react to Ateez. They all are incredible dancers and performers. I suggest Answer, Wonderland, or Inception. All of their stuff is great but those are good starting points, especially their rehearsals to these songs.

teary eyes = the Stray Kids effect aka catharsis ;) it's just what they do... welcome to the madness and enjoy the ride, these guys are worth it... maybe check out Domino as that's one of their most intense choreos, they have the dance practice available for that one too (and many others)... but in general they don't play around when it comes to choreography, they go all in... God's menu, Thunderous, District 9, Back Door and I could make the list endless xD another amazing group (underrated though) is A.C.E - you could check out their dance MVs for Savage, Under Cover and Goblin... A.C.E has very difficult and beautifully executed choreographies most dancers/choreographers who reacted to them usually went all crazy about them :)

I looove Stray Kids! Subscribing in the hopes of seeing more. May I please request another group? The Princes of KPOP, SHINee. They debuted in 2008 and have nearly 14 years of discography to discover (and all five members are spectacular soloists). Created as a contemporary, experimental group, they are responsible for introducing and setting new trends with music, dance (they made difficult, complex choreography for groups and dance practice videos popular), fashion, culture, and more. I mentioned all five are soloists, but you should also know that SHINee are all five main vocalists, main dancers, main rappers, and main visuals. They have some of the most distinct voices in KPOP, yet they blend into the most harmonious sound. They’re truly remarkable and are known as the Idols’ Idols…if you ask, many idols and trainees will credit SHINee or one of the members as the reason they pursued their career and look up to them as who they aspire to become. Their maknae, Taemin, is widely regarded as one of the best dancers and has been dubbed the Michael Jackson of Korea (MJ is one of his strong influences, but Taemin has his own style that’s distinctly unique to himself).
