The cows are content, no mooing at all at the end. Just how it was in our barn when we turned off the lights at the end of the day. Mad a person feel good when we went to the house for the night.

My grandfather had a dairy before I was born. He sold it and went into politics a few years after that. When he retired he continued to farm until he died. He lived to be 100 years old. I believe it was working outside everyday, eating right and staying active that contributed to his longevity. My uncle now has the farm and he raises beef cows and grows hay. I must admit that when I happened upon your youtube I can't stop watching. It's relaxing for me to watch a vibrant young man working to full capacity and making it look easy as breathing. I admire your work and the relationship you have with your father. My grandfather never looked at farming as work. To him it was the best job in the world and he always thought of it as play. You make it look fun just like he did. Thank you for reminding me of him and your terrific attitude! I wish you the best and I hope you have an 11th generation that carries on the family tradition. But, I think you're going to live to be 110...easy! Jonathan

My grandfather had a big wheat farm in ND but my father split after HS graduation cause he didn't like farm work? To this day I feel like my destiny was ripped from my hands! I was born to farm it's in my soul! Watching your videos makes me so sad to think I could of had the life you have if my dad would of just stayed on the farm!! Love your videos keep living that wonderful way of life!! God Bless!

Suggestion for a future video: Interaction with the milk truck - when’s it’s picked up, how and how often, etc.. and then maybe delve into some info on your relationship with whichever dairy company you sell to and how that is determined. Good vids!

Old welding trick is if you have a gap grab a bolt or anything solid metal all thread works great and tack it on the ends. Light up on the bolt hold a tight ark and weave back and forth and burn the bolt into the root or crack and go slow and let that bolt absorb most of the heat You`ll know its right when your slag peels up on its own and you can remove the slag with a bare end of a new welding rod. Your still the hardest working youngster on youtube!

Man when you were putting down the round bales in that barn, I had a blast from the past. My uncle used to milk about 40 head I'd say, about 10 at a time, when I was like 9 or 10. The barn we milked in literally looks the same as the one you have there. The head locks didn't work they were so old, so I would have to entice them with carrots to keep them there while being milked as well as shoveling feed to them. I enjoyed it very much and learned alot on the owners farm as well as making memories with my siblings. Always enjoy your videos my friend, I've seen all of them. Keep it up!

Hello from Kentucky I have been watching your videos for a few weeks and enjoy watching them very much. You are very good at visually telling your story. It is so interesting to see how a big Dairy Farm is run. I grew up on a farm but have not lived on a farm for many many years, so it brings back fond memories of that time of my life. I especially like it when you stop to watch the sunrise or take a minute to scratch a cows head. Cows are such interesting creatures of habit and they do have their own personalities or temperament. I like that you notice #485 is always first in line. (or whatever her number is) It is so good to see that someone your age can do so many things and can operate so many different pieces of equipment, has the work ethic to get up early and work hard every day. I don’t usually comment because I usually watch on my Roku TV but I wanted you to know what a great job I think you are doing and I think you are an amazing young man.

Really enjoy your videos! You're a hard working young man! It hurts my soul to see y'all cut those silage tarps! I know it's just waste plastic to y'all, but there are a lot of us gardeners who use silage tarps to cover our plots. I use it to kill cover crop, protect a plot until I can get it planted, warm the soil, etc. If you could figure out how to cut it in wider pieces you could sell the heck out of it to gardeners, especially market gardeners!
@Chrishems999

over here in the UK we use last years plastic sheeting to cover the silage /maize and then put a new sheet over that to keep airtight,rather than keep cutting a good sheet up,this helps keep waste plastic to a minimum as we have to pay to dispose of it.

I think is great that your father allows you to do this. When I was young, our farm was much smaller we had a meat business there as well, but that was in a time when we built the buildings that we worked in. Anyhow, my father would never have permitted this. (a) what are you wasting time for ... (which is why we have practically no pictures) (b) it's no one else's business what we are doing on the farm and (c) I would never have been able to publish given the words my dad would use if something went wrong, someone was not working fast enough etc. It is a new age and think it is great.
