I'm so glad to have come across this complete Royal Albert performance given by King's College Choir. What a treat to be able to hear their excellent performance of this work. I omitted to congratulate Thomas on his sensitive and self-assured interpretation of Pie Jesu, and he certainly deserved the extended applause which he so graciously acknowledged. His smile said it all. Well done, Thomas.

The Faure Requiem is one of my favorite Requiems. I play the cello and it is lovely to play! This is such a special presentation at Royal Albert Hall! Thank you!

This requiem is beyond beauty and into the sacred. We need not fear death as its natural passage into the next realm....this music is a fitting accompaniment. We can trust that death is our next way into life everlasting.

Grazie ❤

We are learning this masterpiece right now in college choir, and in a couple of days I am going to be on audition for the Bass solo. I am trying to sing along with the singer and thats impressive how lightly and at the same time, how deeply he is singing his part. I can hear lots of power and determination in his performance, something that I am still learning to do. At least his breathing is not that hard to learn, but his voice dynamics.....impressive! The boy that sung soprano's solo did a great job! I don't how much time he had to practice, it was so light and ornamental, floating like a butterfly - good job! I even got little bit jealous of his singing... Really well done! Great job! That is a really good performance! Well, i am really here for my solo part, but everyone did a really good job! Especially solos 😅

Solo-Geige?

Didn't care for this version. Tenors were "tentative"

For such an esteemed and accomplished group a rather low energy and uninspired effort. I wonder.....
