Yeah, fox engine games before PES2018 were simply a slog on superstar difficulty, they forced you to play like a butcher if you wanted to win. All it came down to was to play until either the FB or the WF ends up open at the byline- cross, header, Bob's your uncle. Long shots were still powerful in this, and Long Range Curler trait shots across goal were lethal.

Yeah I need to shoot more, I just can't get near the opposition area. I don't get more than half a second on the ball. There's stuff I enjoy in this game but at the same time, a lot I don't like!

uhhh there's something missing in this Mike, I have to say. You haven't changed the captain of France, it should've been Lloris not Matuidi. I don't know why did PES choose Matuidi as the captain there, it doesn't make sense. Anyway, congratulations for getting through to the knockout stages, England surely will be a very tough opposition, but I'm sure you can handle them. Good luck.
