Chosen Ones Frequently Become Family Scapegoats. Why?

I ALWAYS have wondered why my brother hated me and why I was always used and blamed and bullied. Gaslighting was a normal part of my childhood and often being ignored, criticized and driven into depression and despair. This is the only thing that makes any sense. I’m 63 and I still wonder why I was such a problem for my family that I had to be treated this way. I was always a truth teller and they hated it.

And don’t forget when you are raised in a family of narcissists that’s your norm so you select people like them as friends and partners and you are tortured all over again. You have to recognize your role as a codependent in all relationships and let the cycle end with you by NOT selecting people like that and treating yourself with respect and kindness. The other issue is you have children and they continue the cycle by treating their own parent as the family scapegoat because as the scapegoat in your family of origin you survived by being a yes man that silenced your own needs and you tend to continue the pattern into adulthood. Then you also have to remember to be strong and break the cycle with your kids without becoming a narcissist yourself!

My whole family are criminals,junkies,thieves,liars. I suffered my whole life. When I got older and didn't want to live with it anymore, I had to physically defend myself to make them leave me alone. I don't speak to anyone anymore. Most of them have died, the rest I don't speak to. I'm alone and I'm fine with that. It's better than being in constant CHAOS.

@@SheldonBrown567 my dad died when I was 10. After that it went straight to hell. I spent most of my time in the woods. But living with them had a huge impact on my life. At 53 I'm just now beginning to recover emotionally and mentally. I follow the example of the solitary monk. I stay home. It is thru the teaching of the monks that I have learned to start recovering. Silence, solitude....I do have my animals...but I have very little to do with ppl in general.

I chose to stay near my father and mother and 2 of my 5 other siblings.. because I thought I could help them get well. what it did was drive me closer to Christ... and made me stronger and more discerning of people's games and wrongs. some days I wished I'd left. other days I know I overcame them and have the right to live in the beautiful area I live in despite them. cause I realised that if I did leave.. I would just gather another toxic group wherever I landed... better to overcome in the midst of the war. I am free now.

Because we were born with a light. Because we thought and wanted to think people have loving and giving hearts like we do. We kept holding out just like God did with Sodom and Gomorrah. Because we are not filled with envy and hate and could never imagine hurting others …..Because we just can’t imagine that. We were turned into to people pleasers to fight against the false accusations….. and all it did was make us appear weak and set us up for more abuse and be the scapegoat. But we learned the hard way didn’t we? And it took A LOT of abuse and betrayal before we learned to trust only in God. Our good and kind and innocent hearts….. our great empathy was taken for granted. It was not our weakness …… but our strength!! They saw what we had and were envious so sought out to destroy us. Guard your hearts fellow scapegoats ….. know your worth and that God will never leave you❤

This video was perfectly timed in my case! The part where you mentioned how mornings are the most difficult time for family narc's really struck a cord w/me. I've always wondered why a specific family member of mine has behaved so awfully, so consistently in the morning time- ALWAYS in the morning... Now it makes sense- getting their "masks" on and in order and aligning their persona based on the illusions they've manufactured through their behavior and treatment of others. Gives a whole new meaning to " not being a morning person"! Lol. I can laugh bc I can sympathize w/ her while simultaneously remaining grateful for the bits of wisdom I've gained along the way. And knowing the reasons of motivation for their misery is, well it's actually very sad, despite how hurt, isolated and angry I may feel at times. Thank you for the video- very helpful.

So I'm 24 seconds in and paused it...I initially think of Joseph in the scriptures...his brothers hated him, ha! Editing in: to be fair, after all was said and done, I think they realized that Joseph was alright...it makes me think that often times, GOD has his chosen ones, and does so, because being GOD, knows what will benefit as many as possible down the road...as it did in the case of Joseph and his family...being a "chosen one" isn't always easy...many times it's the complete opposite...like Jonah...God says "go to Nineveh and tell them I'm going to destroy them"...and Jonah was like "Yeah, ummm, no, I'm not doing that"....hahaha! Was he in for it...but he eventually did...and then when Nineveh. repented after hearing the ultimatum, Jonah, after going through what he went through to be convinced to do what God told him to do, he was like "OK GOD, let 'em have it!" and God told Jonah, "Nope, they straightened up...I'm not going to destroy them now"...so it was a lesson for both Jonah and the land of Nineveh.

narcissist & empath. the classic. it's a spiritual type of entanglement with hidden (karmic) causes & pending karmas to be cleared on both sides. narcissist's ego gets triggered by empath's compassion. arrogance meeting humility is painful for both. insensitivity meeting sensitivity will trigger inevitable transformation because opposite frequencies do clash. the thing here is to return to balance for both sides. narcissist needs to open heart chakra (Jupiter - compassion, spirituality), empath needs to activate manipura charka (mars - confidence & self-assertion, materialistic ambition & drive). at times, of course it can get really abusive & negative & traumatising, still i have seen people in my life, get better after such lows & really get positively transformed. some others also get really bad into addictions, repetitive loops without learning the lesson. it is not an easy ride. but not impossible sure. we learn & evolve, let go, move on. like one of my astrologer friends told me, u know the last 5-10 incarnations are the toughest cause you are shown the pending karmas u always postponed & tried to escape, but you'll have to face them sooner or later. The craziest thing I've learned just recently is that sometimes living under a narcissistic cloud is actually protecting you as a chosen one from much bigger demons, and all the lesser demons that you do encounter during that cloud of 'protection' are just sent by God or the universe to test you before giving you your greater blessings after giving up your lesser blessings to the narcissist's control.

My brother and his wife are both grandiose malignant narcissists, even psychopaths. But they stay in good shape. Brother surfs and hits the gym. His wife does Pilates, and only allows herself one meal a day (usually a salad) and won’t eat any sugar or dessert. My father was a grandiose alcoholic narcissist, and he jogged every morning at 6am, after a couple of shots of whiskey. My mother is a covert narcissist, that always taught aerobic classes and watched her weight/diet. And my mother side of the family are all narcissistic, and looking fit and having lots of money is the only two things they care about. So I guess there is variance 🤷‍♂️

People need to understand what a "chosen, elect" mean and where it comes from. Spend as little time as possible within the presence of the “Haters,” and “Users.” And 2.) Take a break from praying for them for awhile. Sometimes the wound needs to heal before we can say good heartfelt prayers for our abusers, yeah. The good Lord knows our psychological wounds take time to heal, just as our physical wounds on the skin take time to heal . And 3.). Don’t wish anyone ill will on anyone, give yourself some distance, and time, so the gaping wound can turn into soft pink flesh, and eventually a tough scar, that is no longer sensitive at all. I feel like for me it’s a bloodline curse I’ve inherited that my family doesn’t realize. In a way I sort of feel like being the chosen one is a blessing and a curse just like an empath can be as well. Also I’m just very honest and real while a lot of my family members and friends are more dark triad or dark empaths rather than an intuitive energy healer. I’m able to take their masks off and they don’t like it. I’m not perfect but I’m honest. If they are going to be a constant energy vampire in my life then i will be the Heyoka and mirror them, I’m going to show them their flaws and sins as well. I’m definitely the scapegoat of the family unfortunately. We self isolate a lot for sure because we feel targeted too much. We get labeled the black sheep. My family is notorious for gossiping about me. I get ganged up on by friends and family.

He set you up so they have an opportunity to feel bad when they are abusive, which they don't and are never exposed because he's all about making sure they make it to the dinner. I notice a bunch of you are making videos calling yourselves chosen ones . Yes I know we are the elect which means those who he has chosen. I thought we are Christians unless you are ashamed of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ

Now you and others are using this title chosen ones. Today in the world and maybe especially in America there is so much confusion I don't think we need more. What you are doing is sowing confusion. we're supposed to reach the world with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. Using the term the chosen ones causes confusion. I know it's not of God to do so because God is not the author of confusion. You are probably one of those that thinks salvation is only for certain people. what many do not understand is God did not choose some to be with him in heaven and others to spend eternity in the lake of fire. what it is, God knows the end of all things from the beginning. he gave man free will to choose. He knew from the beginning that when Jesus came and died on the cross and rose from the dead, which individuals would choose him and be saved from their life of sin and he also knew most would rather live in their sin and would reject Jesus. when you use the term the chosen instead of Christian the devil loves it because even if you attempted to tell someone what Jesus did for them on the cross the devil will work on their mind saying, ARE YOU SURE YOU CAN BE SAVED, GOD ONLY CHOSE CERTAIN ONES THAT CAN BE SAVED, HOW DO YOU KNOW YOU ARE ONE OF THE CHOSEN? Satan's number one deception is to get people to doubt. it's the deception he used on Eve to get her to eat the fruit. did God say?, are you sure God said? are you sure God is not keeping a good thing from you?

If one of you chosen had come to me and said do you know Jesus, I would have said I grew up in Christian home but I left all of that. Then I would say , what are you a prescher? You would probably say I'm a chosen one. I would say what is that, what do you mean chosen one, chosen for what? The point is you sound ridiculous going around saying you're the chosen when you are nothing but a poor miserable wretch on your way to hell that someone you probably don't know was praying for you to be saved. Hopefully you all are born again of the Spirit of God like Jesus told Nicodemus.
