This hits close to home. The part about resilience leading to people believing you don't need support is so true, and the struggle with coming to terms with and loving the person you've become is undeniable. These truths are honestly truths I've been running from and they're truths I still struggle to accept but I know I have to acknowledge these truths no matter how painful they are. I wish more people would understand this side of it but the reality is, most people don't bother since they'd rather live in a fairytale than face the harsh truth. They don't bother taking the time to get to know you. They see your resilience, your strength but they never look close enough to see the pain behind it, the struggle to just make it through another day.

I am very happy that you have analysed this and made such a beautiful and encouraging story. Some points of attention please: 1) Chosen-ones implies an outside force that select a specific person. I don’t know if it works that way. One could argue that some free soul is chosen by nonfree souls to be damaged or destroyed and enslaved to become like the others. 2) Hell does not exist for the righteous ones, but purgatory exists as a burning off of “karma”. 3) Survival may not be an effort, but is simply that the body has not been destroyed beyond repair, so, life goes on.
