Here’s a satisfying story for you guys. I’m the scapegoat in my narcissistic family. I had a falling out with an uncle about 8 years ago, over me smoking weed, fast forward 8 years to family holidays. He was hosting Xmas dinner, and invited everyone except me, even after I quit smoking/drinking and had tons of trauma and abuse to work through, he knows his brother (my dad) is an abusive pos, just didn’t care. His wife, my aunt, is also one who seems threatened by my light. So What ended up happening is my grandma refused to go, and everyone else followed suit. So, just because they tried to exclude a family member, while holding onto resentment and unforgiveness, they ended up excluding themselves from family dinner, because no one showed up after I was told I wasn’t welcome. He even tried guilting my grandma by saying she was punishing her other grandchildren (his adult kids) by not going.
