It's called "iron shirt chi Kung" it's an art that develops some shield protection with energy field and also strengthening of the body combined, and also a tecnic that pulls the testicles inside the body. It's crazy but it's common among Chinese kung-fu practitioners (but only some do it).
@peaceonearth8693
@peaceonearth8693 Жыл бұрын
@@sergiobatista2272 You don't know what you are talking about. Iron shirt development comes from physical training, in part by adopting the rounded back and ability to clench the muscles interlaced with the rib cage and general torso. In fact, all around the body. The purpose of developing what's called iron shirt, but is actually isometric muscle strength and denser bones, is for the body to better withstand a blow. In Southern Mantis, there isn't a lot of dodging and moving around with the body. Instead, arms and sometimes legs deflect or capture strikes, but otherwise the body withstands punches and kicks through iron shirt conditioning. As for the bones part. Over time, percussive strikes with something like a wooden rod. Cause the bones to become denser. This happens as part of the bodies adaptive and healing abilities. All of this training needs to happen gradually over a long period of time. Your energy nonsense is a nod (and only a nod of respect), to the way people understood concepts prior to science. As I'm sure you know, people used to believe the flat earth was the center of the universe, and the sky was a painted bowl. Because that seemed like the logical explanation at the time. It's like that.
@sergiobatista2272
@sergiobatista2272 Жыл бұрын
@@peaceonearth8693 it seems that you are just trolling. Judging by your KZbin name and your comment, you are really one. My comment is correct and what you said about iron shirt is correct as well (I knew that) it's the physical aspect of the training... And my comment covers the energetic aspect of the training. So, don't play smart-ass with me.

A lot of 'qi' comes from a misunderstanding of body mechanics. These martial artists study the human body, but then tend to chalk things up to magic because they do not understand physics. I'm not accusing or trying to insult anyone, this is just a product of the times. Their findings, when reviewed by physicists and kinesiologists, is incredible.
@k14michael
@k14michael 8 жыл бұрын
+Koby Arndt there are lots more thing that Physicists cannot explain yet. Can you feel the energy flow in the 12 meridians in your body? Well, with practice you can. Can physicists measure this energy that you felt? not yet! Does it fit with the current physic that are taught in school? No.
@kiltrofilms
@kiltrofilms 8 жыл бұрын
+Koby Arndt you are confused, i practice TRADITIONAL karate and they understand body mechanics even better than many kinesiologists, and when it comes to ki or chi (or whatever you want to call it) it refers to energy, mostly in its electrical form, there is no glowy super saiyan crap to it, its just that they did the same findings on physics and body mechanics and gave it a different name than modern western science. my brother is a kinesiologist and is currently studiying chinese medicine because he couldnt grasp all this knowledge through western methods. just clarifiying this dudes are not priests
@Chunda8
@Chunda8 8 жыл бұрын
+Koby Arndt If you have good body mechanics, the qi will flow unimpeded. It's kind of subtle, I find it where the the nerves, muscles/tendons and blood are working together with intention and relaxed breathing. I used qigong to recover from a broken leg that had to have an implant. After about 3 months of working on the 'Wang Ji Wu' set, my surgeon said I did not have to go to physical therapy. You will not be able to tell which leg it was. It definitely deserves further investigation. Also when I'm doing qigong I do not get sick.

I practice Tong Long in Brisbane and I'm an engineer so I've approached it with the typical "Chinese bullshit" but every lesson wipes away the bullshit. Chow Gar Tong Long is one of the most relaxed martial arts one would encounter and everything comes from the power in the tendons, the muscle is not really needed, Gi comes from ability to relax your body but only tense the part that is needed insanely quickly, if you think about it your muscles need to be fired by your nervous system so once a pathway is established and your brain learns it your brain can use that pathway involuntarily, you drop something your hand goes to catch it involuntarily, it's the same in this case but while other fighting techniques tenses the body all of the time in this case your body is quite relaxed and soft but when needed that pathway can light up extremely quick where the tendons do most of the work without the need of a muscle. Imagine a Piezzo Ignition (think gas oven) hold it and press the button, your body will react to it intensely, these people with training can do that without the Piezzo Ignitor imho that is Gi to some extent. This take time and practice. Grinding arms technique takes a few years of practice to get your tendons . I think before others comment on it they should really go and attend some lessons. Chow Gar is very devastating in nature, to sum it up its the art of removing anything between your hands and the opponent head as quickly as possible in order to annihilate the head, usually the move to remove the obstacle (an arm or arms) involves striking the head as well. It is all about hitting the opponent's head, everything else is secondary, there is hardly any defence moves, I can honestly say there is no defence moves in Tong Long just smash the head

low level beings are demons though. You either go to heaven or hell is you're human. The only spirits wandering the earth are ones that were never human also known as demons. They show you their powers to get you to worship the wrong God. They trick you with earthly powers. That's why the bible tells you to stay away from this. It shows you powers of healing to corrupt you to believing a false God that can't get you salvation and you end up going to hell for eternity. There is only one true God Jesus of nazareth.

a lot of ppl do not understand qi... everyone has qi or u will be dead... a qigong master's qi is 100x that of a normal man..it generates low frequency vibrations... u must combine your qi with your external.. if not it is no use for actual combat.. with qigong practice your fajin is much much stronger.. body mechanics is important... try doing d horse stance for a few months n u will see your power increases.. without true relaxation real power will not manifest... u can use qi to dissolve cancer tumour n heal yourself.... whether u want to believe it's up to u.. sometimes d immune system in your body is stupid...u will have to direct n tell it what to do... d cells in d immune system r d same as our brain cells n they listen if u speak to it internally n externally.

They began studying the human body and how to cure it's ilnesses, much before Crist had apear in Eearth. So, as a martial artist, give your respects to one that's able to do what he says he is able. Putting the testicles inside the body is already very demonstrate...the problem it's beeing a technic wich takes almost 10 years to dominate to be able do it in combat. These dudes train to clear the limbs and attack the weakest parts of the human body. They spend years clearing limbs to get to the head and neck. They have this small knife, you are fucked sideways. keisuke185 Depends what kind of fight. Mantis is designed to kill. Muay Thai is still a sport, although could be deadly. The old martial arts are killing arts. 'Qi Gong is not real' is a useless statement. Qi Gong is a practice people do. You may not believe it but still people practice it! Often Qi Gong in the martial arts is a way of developing more power as you can turn the mind off from just thinking in physical terms. It's a way of letting the body flow and be more relaxed when striking.

The Ming i like you this is really is for Keisuke185 and the other disrespectful. . Funny people don't know that humans and mammals etc are bio electrical people run on a type of electricity everything in your body is electrical . Short it out or block the path or change its direction .of that electricity and that organ , muscle , etc stops working or it can be fixed/healed . this is produced in the intestinal area of the Abdomen. Acupuncture works the same way on animals as it does on humans Qi is directed and redirected through the body..So one can't really say its mental on the part of the patient ..That S.P.M. hits all the same acupuncture points directing with Qi, a simple touch could collapse the lung of the greatest fighter and the strongest man or stop his heart in a second . Muscle power has nothing to do with it ,directing Qi energy is the secret. Terminology prejudice is a type of Bias, so what these men doesn't talk or use your little western terms, then what they says and do has no value ? That ideology means your a imbecile ...You ever stop to think he knows that and his terminology keeps Fat head jerk off westerners at home ill and circle jerking ! lol . I lived in Thailand what westerners learn today in Mauy Thai is adapted for boxing grappling MMA a sport, entertainment, athletic competition etc Not the true martial art whos goal is to kill as fast as possible, warfare ...My Sifu at 86 could touch you and you would fall to the ground limp or he could do acupuncture just under your tongue and get the same result that another practitioner of Chinese medicine would get placing the needles in other parts of the body. He only went under the tongue,in animals as well then the vet could actually give them surgery with no artistic . Hey try fighting to the death double blindfolded locked in a pitch black room like the real masters ...lol Silly Gweilo with no respect with the made up name 185 ...lol We know your not asian because of your disrespect to elders ! The statement "qi gong is not real." is a false statement simply because Qigong is a philosophical concept to begin with. The idea though isn't that it's some "magical" force it's simply a technique of how to channel the energy you generate from your normal respiratory functions in your cells which is to say energy coming from your breath. Obviously breath is extremely important in all martial arts but the idea of Qigong is perfecting your breathing technique and using the energy you get from it to accomplish a task. I would like to see studies done to see affects of Qigong on the cellular level. If they can produce more ATP in the mitochondria of their muscle cells or if they develop more mitochondria simply because of the training. That would be a pretty amazing discovery.

David W I have a cousin that does this and would make you laugh out the other side of your face....he is devastating and unfortunately took his skills at at a younger age to the street and was a stand over man with a truely menacing effect on those he sought out....I've seen him drop 5 guys and each one had broken limbs. Like the others say....you know nothing of Tong Long or its origins and art.
