Truly a community event! Enjoy watching the older guys showing their former training routines. Probably used their techniques when having youthful incidents with villagers from other areas. It al traces back to the days when the men of the village had to learn kung-fu so as to protect themselves against bandits, conflicts with other villages, henchmen working for the local mob boss, etc. Choy Gar (Choy Family) kung-fu is one of the roots to Choy-li-fut kung-fu. Choy Ga has nothing to do with Choy Lee Fut. Choy Fook is the Buddhist name of Chan Heung's last sifu. His system contained northern techniques to include the chop choy or leopard fist. Choy Gau Yee was the creator of Choy Ga and the system seen here is of his line. No relation to CLF at all. Only the same Chinese character.

No, it's not the same "Choy" as in Choy Lee Fut. CLF's "Choy" is from his teacher's Buddhist name, Choy Fook. Choy Gau Yee invented Choy Ga.

Yes, this is the Choy Ga that is a part of Jow Ga, and NOT Choy Lee Fut.
