Help us, Chris Avellone. You're Fallout's only hope.

Harry S. Plinkett there's more than one writer to fallout, but he is the main guy most people know of.

Tim Cain!

-Captain- I'd say both Cain and Avellone. Cain created Fallout in the first place. He was the lead programmer and main designer of the first game.

Well, even though he's not with Obsidian now (who given their current size and priorities, wouldnt be able to do a "New Vegas 2" anyway), he is a freelance writer now and has a working relationship with Bethesda, as he was one of the writers for Prey 2017 and is rumored to possibly be working on Starfield with them. Bethesda is no stranger to having freelance writers work with TES on a contract basis (such as Michael Kirkbride), so I could potentially see them reaching out to Chris Avellone and working with him on future Fallout titles in a similar way if he isnt too busy.

His design philosophies are very solid. I wish he could come back as a lead game dev.

The Japanese literally had their country blown away and then they succeeded in not only rebuilding it but also getting as high economically as possible so it may be a cultural thing to be so brave in the creation of the story of a game.

@@resmarted Their country indeed. They didn't get bombed just by nuclear bombs. Incendiary bombing actually caused more destruction and death than the atomics. Curtis LeMay, the guy who in 1962 was all-for an attack agaisnt Cuba in the missile crisis, was the architect of that firebombing campaign.

Spoil. A game from the 90s? The problem with eastern storytelling is that they cheapen tragedies. One style is the constant use of planet killers in star wars Really dude Really
