I dare to say all the grunge legends - nirvana, aic, soundgarden, mad season - are fantastic unplugged. There is something in their acoustics that's lost with electrics.

When i was 13 i was obsessed with this song. It put me in a trance. It also made me feel like the end of the world was soon, it's so gloomy but amazing.

I am in love with Chris Cornell... and Kurt Cobain. There's something about the 2 of them. I'll never get over this loss. Will miss them both for the rest of my life but my hope is that one day I'll be in heaven hanging out with the 2 of them and none of this will matter anymore.

For everyone talking about the key he is playing in, this version. He is dropped down a full step and his 6th string is double dropped to a C Sharp.
@chiragkrishna31539 жыл бұрын
Not quite- he is dropped down a full step, but his 6th string is dropped to a C, not C sharp.
@CianeticMember239 жыл бұрын
Chirag Krishna I think you can just say drop C
@fod1507 жыл бұрын
Drop C Sharp, he always did it in Drop D live and in studio is one semitone higher.
@chiragkrishna31537 жыл бұрын
+Gary Graham B, it is not Drop C Sharp- this is incorrect. If you'd like, try tuning your guitar to Drop C sharp and playing along with this performance- you'll be off by a half step. The correct tuning is drop C.

I shook Chris' hand front row at the armory show in NYC June of 1994....had a smile that lit up the room... I was chanting LET's GO Rangers between every song as our Rangers had just won the Stanley Cup days before the show...he come over laughed, shook my hand and toasted our NYR. Great times.

"... no one sings like you anymore." They say that most of his performances and songs had some hint of premature and unnatural death: 1- That particular line up there in "Black Hole Sun" 2- He would cover Led Zeppelins "In My Time of Dying" in many performances 3- "Fell On Black Days" line "How would I know that this could be my fate?" (Not to mention that the whole song is pretty much about his lifes tough times). 4- "Like Suicide" (obvious one). 5- "Outshined", referring to quick aging and final outshine. 6- "Burden In My Hand" (dont even know where to start with that, just look up the lyrics) 7- "Say Hello 2 Heaven" (pretty much the whole song screams "Im gonna die") ** these are the ones I can think of. I really love this guy. I think he's one of the best singers of the rock era, but he really seems to have had an obsession and a feeling that he will die a premature death.... and he did. RIP Chris Cornell.
