Why does Lue continue to play JR? I'd rather see Hood play.
@mattnorris7124
@mattnorris7124 6 жыл бұрын
I guess it doesn't set a good example based on the fact that Hood refused to play in garbage time in a game during the Playoffs but the Finals Series is on the line now, he's got to change something and JR hasn't turned up physically or mentally, Hood might be that spark they need.
@omarlozano9374
@omarlozano9374 6 жыл бұрын
If you bench JR after what he did in game 1, then what you're doing is deflating his self-confidence, while not having a guaranteed net-positive replacement for him. If he performs badly again in game 3, then I'd say starting someone else in game 4.
@mattnorris7124
@mattnorris7124 6 жыл бұрын
Then you're putting yourself under the pump. If he plays him in Game 3 and they lose they're then down 3-0 and on to get swept, Game 4 would be too late to make that adjustment. Absolute latest I would leave it would be halftime in Game 3, see how he's tracking that far through and if he still hasn't turned up give his minutes to Hood & Clarkson. My issue isn't so much what happened in Game 1 even though that could have been a completely series defining moment, it's more the fact that he showed next to no resilience in Game 2 to get past it. 5 points on 22% shooting from the floor in 32 minutes is nowhere near good enough. Hood & Clarkson played 12 minutes combined and had about as much impact as JR did in Game 2 in way less shots and you'd have to feel that if either one of them had time to get in a rhythm, they'd out perform JR atm. I love JR, don't get me wrong but what he's coming up with right now is nowhere near good enough in the Finals.

I'm a Warriors fan. With that being said, LeBron has to do something otherworldly *every* single night for the Cavs to have a chance to beat the Warriors in this series, so any criticism of the guy is completely unfair. He's been having what is arguably the greatest run by any player in NBA playoff history during these 2018 Playoffs, and single-handedly almost beat the Warriors in Game 1. Just appreciate his greatness for what it is.

It doesn't matter what Lebron does....if he takes over a game and scores 50pts with 10+ assist but the team loses, people gonna say he didn't get the team involved enough. If he scores 29 pts with 10+ assist, people gonna say he didn't takeover the game. That guy is gonna be the bad guy no matter what he does. Regardless of the fact that LBJ boasts about being the greatest player or goes and chases rings with D Wade and Bosh, you can't argue that him making it to the Finals this year is a great feat. Facing this Warriors team is clearly lopsided. No player in history given this squad in Cleveland would do better against this Golden State team.

Just cause he is ball dominat does not take away from his assist compare his assists to Westbrook who had more help. If bron had pg, Adams who are more consistent this series might be different but he doesn’t so just look at how far Russ got and how far lbj had. Losing to the Jazz 4-1? Come on even if the West is harder bron is still beating the jazz in 6

KEEK NATION I agree but at the same time it can be said his whole starting line up could score double digits and they will say he needs help when they lose. Even though love and George did good he still needs help. Dude had the big three in Miami he needs help, he had Kyrie for three years and he still needs help, damn when does this dude not need help. Damn he can have an all star team and they will say he needs help. That’s the thing with a Jordan he only had Pippen for a while before he got Rodman and he never complained. The other players were role players who Jordan coached up at practice cussing them out, fighting them and everything. Bron had the big three and Kyrie and yet he complains. Not hating dude because he was a Heat and being a heat fan I will always be a fan but damn quit making excuses.

A few years ago he said "we need more playmakers, " that's when they got Korver, and that's the only time he has openly complained about needing help. Analyst and the media on TV say it all the time. but dark, the man is the only player to score 50 and not win in an nba finals, he does need help. In Jordan's era the talent was more spread out among the teams, Jordan and Pippen were enough with GOOD role players around them. In this finals GSW third best player is Klay avg 22 pts and then Livingston at 10, CAVs third is George Hill at 11 then next is JR at 7.5. MAN NEEDS SOME HELP. It is almost impossible/unreal for anyone to be expected one man to cover KD and Steph's points on their own. With KLove covering Klay's points.

I can care less if people compare them. The thing is LeBron has passed Jordan in many stats. The reason why people compare them is because LeBron is still playing and will break just about every stat. Like for example Jordan had 35000 points in his career. By the time LeBron retires he will have more like around 40000 and be the highest scorer of all time even passing Kareem. I know stats aren't everything but people still look at them at the end of the day. Also. when Jordan retired in 2002, LeBron started the next year so it's a good way to compare the Jordan era and current basketball. Just my opinion though.

Remember when the Cavs played the Magic in the ECF? They had to double Dwight Howard and when he was doubled, the Magic found the open man on the wing. This plan is what the Cavs are doing now but unlike Lebron's 2018 Cavs, Dwight's Magic had players like Reddick, Rashad Lewis, Turkoglu and Jamier Nelson who could actually hit there parameter shots.

Matthew Richardson I guess the question is why did they double Howard? He never had a post game---was all dunks and blocked a few shots. If he couldn't develop a post game with 2 of the greatest post players in NBA history (McHale & Olajuwon), there was no hope for him.

Ricky Rubio better known as westbrick daddy. There are a million variables. Even the Mavs and old Spurs team were better than about 3 of the teams MJ played in the FInals. Miami was just all-stars being put on a team, MJ had a coach, system, and all-time greats that were together in a system for years. Lebron has #1-5 greatest Finals opponents between MJ and Lebron. MJ always had a better team than Lebron as well.

Elijah Anthony. Not making excuses, Lebron choked. But MJ has a better team than Lebron (system with elite coach>>>maching together all-stars) and faced much easier Finals opponents. MJ would be 3-6 like Lebron will be. MJ would beat the Mavs but lose to the 2016 Warriors.

Seriously Jordan in his Prime on this team would be doing the same as Lebron. Going to the finals and losing to the Warriors. He was also in his early 20's and trying to beat some of the Boston Celtic greats and Piston great teams. Was Lebron dominating his first years in the League. Heck of a good player but he didn't go anywhere either until he matured and learned how to win in Miami

Well you could try and stay on your man but with guys like Steph and kd and klay to some extent (whenever he handles the ball) it's hard because they can pull up and are great shooters, fighting through gives these guys the ability to either get a step or shoot right above you. Also with how the NBA is now a person getting screened isn't Gona he allowed to fight too hard because of how soft it is now

It's scary that we criticize LeBron for his teammates missing wide open shots. Cavs went 3/19 on open looks. I don't know how many were off Bron's passes, but at least 5 of them were. If Cavs make their open shots this is a far different game. Bron scores 51 in game 1 and they lose. He gets his teammates involved in game 2 with 13 assists and it should've been more but they're missing open shots. I just don't know what more he can do. Obviously he could've played better in OT in game 1, but after scoring 49, then having your guy at the FT line to win, Bron did all he could do. Had terrible calls in game 1, with the missed free throw and JR. There isn't much more LeBron can do to even pull a win out let a lone the series if his teammates won't help him.

You’re really blaming these trades on Lebron? You really think Lebron wanted to trade Wade? Everyone knows cleveland was having locker room issues, and most of it started with Jr and Thompson and Thomas. No team would take Jr or TT, so they were forced to give up the other players. I still think the Wade trade was stupid, but you’re a bigger idiot for blaming Lebron. I mean it’s just the dumbest thing you can say. Malik Williams I completely agree. All these excuses saying LeBron didn't get help. He had 3 other players in double figures not including himself. He had plenty of help. I got suggestion how about Cav players play some defense especially Lebron instead of worrying about getting a bunch of help on offense. And before all you LeBron fans say Golden State has too much on offense to stop. Well of course Curry, Durant, and Thompson will get theirs points but how about not letting McGee get double digits in points (Yes McGee lol), , Livingston 11 or other players contribute to make an impact on game. I think that might help don't you think?. In fact to D these other players up and limit their scoring guess what the Cavs have a real chance to win the game despite JR playing bad. The one player everyone who wants to place blame for Lebron. Excuses excuses

That's a lazy stat bro...that's the type of spin a politician uses. Doesn't tell the story. Here's some perspective... Jordan's assist-to-turnover ratio is 0.85 meaning for his career he AVERAGED more turnovers than assists. Lebron's is 2.10 meaning for every turnover he has he's getting 2 assists. Michael had 2,500 assists and almost 3,000 TOs. LBJ has over 8,000 assists and under 4,000 turnovers. CORRECTION: Michael had 5,000 assists and almost 2,500 TOs making his Ast/TO around 1.93ish which isn't bad. My point remains...MJ is no better at take care of the ball that LBJ and vice versa.

If cavs win series, their is no automatic championship feel for golden state. Klay would leave for New Orleans. Rondo, Thompson, Mirotic, Davis, Cousins. Let that sink in. And I’m a grizzlies fan. #GrindCity

I give him a D+. Rest of the team gets an F. Warriors have been playing very average ball. I think Warriors will blowout Cavs at home game 3 by 25. They will bring their A game to close out the series. As a Lakers fan, that game 1 was painful to watch.

Empty stats? Sure... cuz that makes sense... take LBJ off the court and Cavs get blown out by 60-70 points every game.
