On February 14th 2080, US & Mexican Senates sign the treaty of Jalisco. An order of unprecedented magnitude, deploying US forces at the frontline of the war against the cartels south of the border.
To the confusion of the local population and the international community, a large number of American troops were committed South. Instead of reclaiming New York, Miami, Seattle, San Francisco & other key coastal cities the government does not control anymore.
In the summer of the same year, stories of gold discovered near the small town of Bacoachi broke out of the Sonora region.
The morning of October 15th, a company of highly trained US Marines stationed in the region were tasked with escorting a group of researchers to investigate the source of this new gold rush.
