i'm over 50 and not a Mark, yeah my home price went up but so didn't my evaluation/taxes, my homeowners insurance and nearly everything i need to buy to maintain and or improve my property. that couple hundred K in equity get's eaten up pretty quick if you factor all that in.

I respect the callers opinion however I certainly Don’t have more money to spend, my salary is certainly not significantly more than 4 years ago and most aren’t accept those that are pushing for $20/ hour minimum wage… yes the market has been great for sellers but horrible for buyers who just want to be able to buy a decent home… plus the interest is higher… who can afford to pay $3-4,000 per month for a mortgage plus all other expenses including gas, groceries, bills exc…at the end of the day our debt is too high, too much spending and more people living off government assistance means taxes continue to go up…..

And the value of your home is only worth it if you plan on selling in this market, if the home you own now is your retirement home, the high value can become a curse, because it will raise the tax value of your home and you will have to pay more in taxes each year on your home, and as we know SS doesn't keep up with property taxes.

Ooof the first caller…not everyone owns property. Prices have gone up due to inflation but salaries are not going up with it. Companies are still doing layoffs and hiring freezes. The value of your home is going up but so are your taxes. Just because people are still buying and traveling doesn’t mean they are earning more- they’re throwing it on a credit card.

Houses were always hard to obtain for younger generations. 2019 was a terrible year for employment quality and wages were even lower. Also the pandemic era and “lockdowns” took place during trump’s administration. He was advocating bleach and sun rays as a cure for covid while people were dying in hospitals. It was awful 4 years ago. Inflation is bad but globally better than the rest of the world.

That's asset inflation which is a tax on the poor who do not experience wealth increases in assets, but higher cost through consumables inflation (like food and energy, which are excluded from the CPI because they are "too volatile"). Also because you are better off does not mean others are better off.

Here's my say, Chris. Saw your recent commentary regarding how you got "bad information" re: ivermectin. Alas, real men and genuine professionals have the self respect and humility to apologize when they get it wrong, rather than blame others. YOU are supposed to be a journalist, not a PR person for govt or big pharma. I have a BA in journalism, worked in TV news and KNOW how the profession works; you do the research, man. THAT is the main feature of journalism. You're supposed to look into things and give the FULL story - not one entity's propaganda. Yes, Joe Rogan (and Jimmy Dore, Robert Malone, Pierre Kory, Russell Brand, Peter McCullough, RFK Jr, et al) got it right, while you tried to humiliate him and everyone else who used critical thinking skills rather than swallowing the rather obvious bait. I've been giving you the benefit of the doubt since you appeared on News Nation, but after this you've lost my respect. No class. You could learn a thing or two from RFK Jr regarding humility, dignity and apologizing.
