When I was younger, my mom and I would watch American Idol for every season it was on, meaning that this song was a big part of my childhood. In 2012, my mom died of her breast and ovarian cancer, and it happened so fast I didn't get to say goodbye. Well, in 2015, Chris Daughtry performed in St. Louis and I love his music, so my aunt and uncle took me to see him in concert. When he sang this song, I began to cry, remembering all the memories that I've had with my mom, including watching American Idol. So this song will always have a special place in my heart.
