This emotional song reminds of the times when I used to cross checkpoints during Lebanon's civil war in order to meet a girl I loved and I'm still loving...! But then the war broke out in the region where I lived and as a result I had to flee Lebanon for good and never saw her again...!

My love was not for a person but it was just the same. I remember occupation of my country's capital. I was just a child and I was scared. Later I fled, now I'd like to return but who knows. Sometime, crossing the border the other way is harder

Zeinoun your story puts tears into my eyes. My father was a casualty of the Korean war and I never knew him and like yourself I have been separated from the love of my life. I totally respect the fact that you have continued to love the girl you lost. I do the same with mine as well. With love and solidarity from England.

Oh, I have always hoped there are people that, like in the movies, fight theough anything, war, crossing countries and continents, everything, never forgetting, just to find each other again. I don't think that relationship exists, probably impossible really, and definitely a movie thing, but gee it fills me with hope that someone somewhere has experienced such love.

Reminds me of my parents dancing and holding each other, the night before each time Dad deployed again. They'd then sit and hold each other, forehead to forehead and look into each others eyes and listen to Transmission Ends. Music is the most powerful and emotive thing on earth. There's a reason, thst when we die, our hearing is the last lost. As a child, you sing the music, as an adult, you feel it 💔

Great song this is,,, so much emotion. What a singer Chris deburgh really is. We've strayed so far from this type of talent. Nowadays if you look the part you've got it 🤔 Sad really. Bring out the men and women who can really sing and transport a human being to a place in time were it really hits home,, Not because of what they look like,,,,looks will fade with time, but that voice, my word. Let the people sing who can sing no matter there race, no matter there looks

yes its so sad.. i love this song.. Chris de Burgh is de best singer ever alive! Rolling through the countryside, Tears are in my eyes, We're coming to the borderline, I'm ready with my lies, And in the early morning rain, I see her there, And I know I'll have to say goodbye again; (L)

Chris De Burgh must be one of the best songwriters this world has ever seen. Anyone who doubts this should take the Crusader album, put it on in a dark room and listen. Up to, and including, The Getaway there wasn't a bad song recorded. Lady In Red was the end of the songwriting talent as he suddenly realised he could make vasts sums of money from mushy pop songs and didn't need to write meaningful songs anymore as the homegenous slush song lovers would pay his salary..
