Finally last sunday i found the getaway album at a flea market in Zuidlaren ❤. The lp had no scratches and the cover was in an extra plastic cover. So glad i found the album unscratched. Who knows, hardly played...😅

I saw him twice (in his pomp) at the Kings Hall, Belfast. Totally incredible both times, second time i persuaded a few mates who (strictly speaking were not fans) to buy a ticket, they too were blown away by how good he was, we felt like we were dancing on air as we left that night. I was there for the Into The Light tour 1986. My first live gig. I have many happy memories of that night in the Kings hall. Not the last concert I saw there. Chris's is still one of the very best.

I am haunted by this song's composition. Just of a gratitude and respect for the guitarist I learned today the first part of the solo and was jamming the heck out of it. While in the process I realized once again how soulful and full of details was the music back then. The details compliment the main idea and this gives musicianship of the highest level.

Not quite in my seventies yet, not far off though. I've been with him since the mid-70 but he will forever be associated with The Lady In Red. Still the target of pathetic, lazy 'comedians' who have never seen one of his shows but feel free to tell 'jokes' at his expense. They have obviously not seen his Munich '84 & Dublin HOE concerts, they wouldn't be so quick with their smart-a remarks then.

Rupert Hines really pulled the very best out of Chris' voice and creativity in this fabulous song. The strings and guitars are just perfect. And yes, this video does sound like the original mix but you would get the best of it by playing it on a hi-fi system - ideally a vinyl ! Great, great song with a superb message.
