I remember knocking the shit out of a guy in Shop Class in high school. We were standing around the side of a table as the instructor was showing us how to do some procedure. He kept thumping my ear and when I turned around he and his friends were like "what?" I finally caught which one was doing it and popped him up side the head. When he finally got finished blinking the tears out of his eyes and could see he threatened to beat my ass after school. I just laughed at him and said "I'm ready now, I'm not meeting you after school so your buddies can help you. Let's go." He mumbled something about not getting in trouble in school and I just turned back around. I had forgot all about the shop teacher. He looked at us and said "Are y'all done?" I said "I'm done." He just went back to teaching like nothing ever happened. I learned later that year he was an ex-marine who had served in Vietnam. I guess nothing much bothered him after that.

Bullshit. Plenty of people over 35 joke about it. Was it tragic? Absolutely. Does laughing and trying to find humor make it worse? No. It doesn’t. It’s not like the guy said “I think it’s really funny that thousands of people died.” Plenty of things kill more people every day than 9/11. Covid kills more people every single day than 9/11.
