It was a nice trade. And if you sign a Nomar Mazara with a bunch of bullpen arms instead of actual difference making free agents when these guys are major league ready, it won't matter again.

@NolmDirtyDan I am keeping faith in him doing that. I like the type of hitting prospects he's bringing in. Guys that hit the ball in the air, that can draw walks, that can field multiple positions well... No more of these .300 hitters from yesteryear that are either first baseman or DHs. I can appreciate that. But my point still stands. If ownership continues to refuse to spend big on premium position free agents when it's time to win, then the Getz rebuild will still fail. Just like the Kenny one did.

@@joeraguso5376Also if they don’t spend on premium FA, they can also sign depth pieces in case of injuries(especially pitching). If they don’t spend money they have to rely on internal development.
