I had forgotten that Dimitri said he can’t taste? I can’t remember where he says that. But he can still smell? CORONAVIRUS?! Just kidding. Naw, I can absolutely believe his sense of taste is warped due to trauma. I had like two months or so of my life where I was so afraid for the future that all food tasted like cardboard in my mouth. It’s like any enjoyment of food was turned off. I didn’t know you could get anxiety like that. I thought I could die because I didn’t want to eat things that tasted like cardboard. But I forced myself to eat, and somehow, fruit was the thing that tasted the best to me, so I think I ate a lot of fruit at that time. Anyways, I got over it. I was just having anxiety over nothing, it turns out. But I wonder if Dimitri could taste a bit better after the war. Maybe his taste could gradually come back?

Dimitri shares this information about himself in his A support with Flayn. He explains to her that he lost his sense of taste ever since the Tragedy. You'll notice some hints about this during the game, such as Dimitri commenting on how he wonders how the tea tastes during tea time or Dedue mentioning that he has been unable to discover Dimitri's favorite food. I'm sorry you went through all that, but I'm glad you've since gotten better!

@@irilum4158 Also, if you have Felix eating with Dimitri before they obtain a B support, Felix will say to Dimitri: "what's wrong? You're eating like you hate the food." And Dimitri will apologize and say that wasn't his intention. It's kinda sweet that Felix, who is constantly at Dimitri's throat in the academy, notices that something is up here.
