To be fair I'm Golden Deer, but I will admit he isn't wrong. Considering wrestling uses their bare hands, Dimitri and even Edelgard will win. Compared to the Crest of Seiros/Flames combo and the Crest of Blaiddyd, I think Crest of Riegan doesn't mention anything in its lore about enhancing physical strength.

agreed i'm so glad i did blue lions first i was really disappointed in the black eagle reveal when i feel like it should have been a bit more important and shocking for that route since you are so close to el as far as routes i still need to finish gold deer and the church route but i still feel like blue lions will be the most satisfying i heard blue lions you can recruit the most people out of any route (which makes sense because hilda will join if you're in blue lions but not black eagles and you get all the church people and unlike gold deer it has two exclusive members dim/dedue instead of just claude)

That's still my favorite route to play even after playing the other routes. Honestly I thought I was just going to be playing the Blue Lions route all the way and never the other routes, but the gamer inside me just wanted to see how the whole story went and I ended up bringing myself to finally play the other routes. Now I'm almost done the Golden Deer route and planning to do another Blue Lions route after. Gives me more reason to play the game more and I'm happy with that. I get to make the most out of a game I bought and that's satisfying

Honestly my first play though was Black Eagle house so I was blown away when I found out who the Flame Emperor was. I feel Blue Lions definitely tells you before the reveal

Even if you figure out before the reveal, it's the cinematic and in-game reactions that make it better. GD is good if you start with GD. It's how the revelation is confirmed that matters here.

Disagree with you on that one. The black eagles have the most obvious hints because when the game tries to pin the house leader as the flame emperor in the death knight chapter and remire it ACTUALLY is the flame Emperor. Not to mention Edelgard says some very suspicious things in her house exclusive cutscenes to the point where it is almost obvious that she is the flame Emperor before chapter 11. In BL it makes you think it is Dmitri until it shows the cutscene of him spying on the flame Emperor. Other than that the only thing that pins Edelgard as suspicious is her one trip to the empire which makes common sense
