I think their relationship is one that if they were both single they’d probably end up together, but because of that barrier, whatever romantic chemistry or energy they had evolved into a heartfelt, genuine and beautiful friendship. The romantic tension is there slightly (which is useful for the onscreen dynamic) but I feel like they are just great friends who love each other’s company and get along really well. They play off each other really well, are super comfortable with one another and clearly deeply admire and respect each other. That is 100% possible in guy-girl friendships.

I ship Thor and Valkyrie, not them in real life, but their real life chemistry helps Thor and Valkyries romantic chemistry seem almost palpable.
