Well here is cover I've been wanting to do for so long but only felt I could do the original composition justice now : The Final Fight / Intro theme from Turrican 2 by Chris Huelsbeck.
Sitting at 49 individual tracks, over 7 minutes long, this is my longest biggest and most ambitious cover to date. I took me weeks of planning , recording and editing. I had to work on this while working on my existing schedule, hence my silence on some social platforms at time. I feel this was worth it and I'm very happy with the way it turned out . I took some very minor liberties but all in all I tried to stay almost 100% faithful to the original composition.

I think Chis Hülsbeck used some kind of programming sorcery for his tunes, where no samples were used, but still sounded very organic. However, it was still full synth music. This fully analogue rendition of this song is such a perfect wonder to behold (hear)

Really beautiful interpretation, the way you play that melody on the mandolin really brings out the memorable brilliance of Huelsbeck's very underrated score. This track was a huge part of my childhood (Amiga CDTV) and inspired me a lot as a composer. I can see and hear the amount of work that went into this, it's a phenomenal musical achievement. concidering that i love the song its still one of my all time favorite pieces of music of all time .. on top of that im a musician myself for close to 40 years now .. both facts put together its very easy to find something which i wouldnt agree with where i would think oohh this or that ... This version of Turrican's song is very refreshing, doing the opposite way to the usual one, covering with real instruments from the original synthesized ones, and on top of that, being very faithful to the original sound.
