I am going to be doing the Colorvent calendar in january with my serendipity with a jowo broad nib .. I have a bunch of pens that are inked up I need to do a re inking of pens I need to do a bujo set up tomorrow its gonna be an ordeal cause I bought the hobonichi but I did a pen test in the back and everything except my pilot frixions bled through so I'm rather upset about that but I'm determined to use that book cause I got it with channel afiliate money so ; / but if it doesnt work out I'm ready to go strait into my archer and olive journal notebook cause I hate writing on crap bleeddthrough paper... That van deamon’s ink seems eggplant colored to me but the sheen is so strong it looks green in the writing! But then it could be my ipad’s interpretation 🤷‍♀oh well i still love it! I’m sitting here sniffing and coughing so I’m enjoying my you tubers on this eve! So thank you for this last year of videos & talks, they are like hearing from a friend 🙂! Ps i love Edward! Sooo sparkly ! All benu’s are great, not that i need (🙄) another fp but they are lushes! Have a great day and see you next year!🥳

I was looking forward to seeing your birthday/Christmas pen, even though we all knew what it would be. I love that you named it Edward! Benu has another new model coming out, the DailyMate, and I'm busy telling myself that I do not need one. My appetite for Benu pens seems to know no bounds. You have some great ink choices this month. Pilot Iroshizuku Syo-ro is one of my all-time favorites and I almost always have it in some pen.

I love Syo-ro so much! It's very blue when the ink is freshly jotted down but they fade into such a pretty shade of green as time goes

Hello Chris , Happy new year and I am glad that you are feeling better. The Van Diemans ink reminds me of the 2024 LAMY Dark Lilac. I have recently bought a Conway Stewart pen , first one of that brand and it is The Alan Turing pen which is such a lovely thing. The nib is so smooth, anyway for the first time my attention is all on one pen !! I am really enjoying your ink choices this month! 😊

Happy New Year! I’m visiting my daughter right now but when I get home on January 2 I’ll plan out what I want to write with. I have 2 new pens that I haven’t touched yet, the new Green Eco and a pen I’ve been wanting for a while, a Platinum 3776. My only Platinums have been Preppys and Prefountes so it will be a new experience. This year I plan on using inks that I’ve hardly used starting with the inkvent inks of the past 4 years. Glad you are feeling better. Covid finally got me in September.

Hi Chris, glad to hear you are getting back to normal. You have such a nice lineup of inks & pens to start the new year. New pens for me, I may have mentioned one or two but here it goes. A Ranga Grand Abhimanyu, an Osprey Pens Milano Ebonite pen with a Titanium Flex nib, and their Ebonite Straight nib holder. A Sheaffer 300 engraved matte black with Gold trim, a Wancher PoChaCo Crystal Clear. Finallly got The Good Blue model R615 in Flame Grilled Polycarbonate with Flex nib! On the way - Retro 51 Tornado Tread Rollerball in Spark, but that's not for me. I'm getting that one to give to my wife for her birthday on the 3rd. Health wise, I'm doing well, but monday was surgery day - Full mouth extraction & same day dentures. That sounds easy, but trust me it's not!! The surgeon couldn't get everything done on Mon. so I have 2 more appointments. I keep thinking that at some point it will get better & I'll make it through this. Until later, have a happy & healthy New Year.

One of my local shops just had a Sailor rep in and had some great prices. I bought a Sailor Pro Gear Slim in Iris Nebula with a broad nib. It's got Sailor 50 States Delaware in it, which is a beautiful magenta with gold sheen. I also got a Benu Spector. Those are my 2 go-to pens for the new year. I've been doing some end-of-the-year journal questions and some best-of-2024 stuff in my bullet journal. I hope you feel better soon!

Happy New Year! Poisseire du Lune is a favorite of mine. I love the Kaweco BB nibs. I don't ink pens until some other pen runs out. So I'm just continuing with what I'm writing with now. A couple of pens are almost out of ink, so I'm looking forward to inking some new-ish pens. Maybe Pousiere de Lune, maybe KWZ green gold.

Great selection! I have tsutuji in my LAMY and also inked up my Kaweco Brass with cognac brown for January too. lol. I did shine mine up with barkeepers friend bc I didn’t like the unevenness of the patina. It always reminds me of the “magic trick” my grandma showed me on her copper bottom pans.

I also got the BENU vodka on the rocks bold nib for Christmas😁- so pretty and mesmerizing - I instantly felt my pen was a diva and have named her Tina (tina turner in her sparkle dress singing big wheels turning) Take care of yourself and go slow - it takes a while to get over that sickness, I was tired for months afterward and felt foggy in my thought process for a long time as well

A nice selection of inks for this month 👍. Your Christmas present pen looks lovely 😍. Great name that you've given your pen 👌. Vodka on the Rocks is a very strange name to give a fountain pen, but then your other Benu pen for this month is called Pink Champagne, so I guess someone at Benu perhaps loves alcoholic drinks 😂😂. The Benu VOTR pen reminds me more of something to do with stars in the milky way/outer space/interstellar etc., than vodka of the rocks 🤔

Hi Annie -- I was thinking about calling the other Euphoria (the Pink Champagne) Marilyn -- for Marilyn Monroe and the ink from Van Dieman's called Marilyn. LOL :) It's a sparkly pinky ink.

I will never understand why some people get snooty about books. I like many authors and Stephenie Meyer's book is appealing because it's an easy read. Right now I will only ready books with happy endings. I think it's how we do our own internal healing. I like your choices of inks. I had heard about the 3 new Pilot Iroshizuku inks and based on reviews alone bought myself a bottle of Syun-gyo. I just swatched it today and am looking forward to inking it up this month along with some more inks from the Diamine Inkvent Black Edition. It was my first year ever buying the inkvent and I couldn't wait so it was all opened in November. It's a great inkvent .I've got an absolute favorite and really love at least half of them. Still looking forward to seeing your swatches and notes on each one in January.

Chris, are you and I the only two people on the planet that have a Nemosine Singularity? I never hear anyone else talk about them. I love mine, one of my first pens! I just bought a Franklin Christoph Model 55, black with red barrel and a cursive Italic #5 nib. I have some Wearinguel red in it. Happy New Year!

Hey, I have a Nemosine Singularity too! Those are fun little pens. I always wanted the Coral one Chris has, but I didn't get around to buying one and then poof, they were gone. I have two, in white and purple. They are cheap, simple pens...maybe we liked them because they came with the fabulous Nemorine nibs.

I definately think that the Nemosine Singularity nibs are so excellent -- a clear stand out in great quality!!! The feed is great too and I love a light weight cartridge converter pen!!!!! :)
