As far as the Dom section of this episode- he’s totally right. Skating has lost a bit of its human connection. It’s the interaction with other skaters that bring us together. An example- first off; full disclosure, I’m 50 years old. I have my crew of homies I skate with and I love those dudes 💯! But sometimes if there’s a local event and I get to go see other people ripping, I want to go and connect. A recent one was Findlay Hats had a skate jam in their wear house for a video premiere. I went and had the best time just connecting with other skaters. Young ass rippers were cheering my old ass for getting old school on the quarter. We need each other and thats the only way it survives.
