I base my velocity on what I feel the song requires. This being a heavier alternative song; I hit a little harder. Almost all of those cymbals were old practice cymbals I had for years. 2 of them were cracked before this video shoot & 1 of them was all bent/morphed. My main cymbals were in tour storage in Austin, TX. I simply used what I had on hand at home in Orlando. Those cymbals lasted a long time before they bit the dust. Hope that clears things up!
