The first time I ever heard Chris Knight's music was in a random bar in North Carolina, just Chris, another dude, and two guitars. A humble bar crowd, my friend and I leaning against a pool table 8' from the two, and a line of like 20 beers in front of them on the floor. Afterwards, he talked with us, and drank a few more. Forever a favorite memory, especially since my friend passed away a few years ago at 27 years old. We were in our early 20s at the time.
@LEDIMUS5 жыл бұрын
That number 27, what is it with so many good people die so young at that age? Coincidence or not it's too damn young! Sorry about your friend. Great memories like that are the real treasures of life. Cherish every opportunity you get to make a memory with someone you love. And don't take Lyrica for nerve pain it destroys that area of our brain that houses and stores memories. Trust me I'm living the results myself! Great song either way!

@@corndawg779 He’s excellent live. I’ve seen him twice. I don’t know how many shows a year he plays, but he gets around. My advice if really want to see him live use his website to stay updated with where he’s playing. He isn’t going to play big venues (unless it’s some type of festival maybe). My most recent time seeing him was on Dec. 2, 2022 at a venue that I didn’t even know existed about 40 miles from where I live. The first time was in 2014 while I was living in Memphis, and he played a small bar within walking distance from my apartment. Both shows were amazing, and if you really love his music you owe to yourself to see him live.

You might wanna think about getting urself a shotgun, you might wanna think about growing you a garden patch, you might have to kill something and drag it home!" The same advice my pops gave me growing up on the banks of the Ohio River when " I was busy waiting on a good time" somehow between pops and Chris they got the msg acrossed to a hard headed hillbilly boy and I'll always be thankful I was told!! Chris Knight is the best songwriter since John Prine, and has never sold out or compromised his msg or his roots. Blue collar outlaw from West KY!! Fuck Nashville!!

I dig it...a lot. I'm glad there's still some good country music out there. This proves that you don't necessarily have to be super-traditional to be country, but you do have to sing REAL songs.

Part of this was filmed in Nashville on Dickerson Road. Thats the old kroger and an old shopping center thats been closed 20 years or more. I worked at a Hills grocery store across from it for about 10 years (left there in 2011 to work at a more rural location). That whole neighborhood goes perfect with this song

Lindsey Kraemer Ugh, saying sorry ahead of time, but here goes. I hate when I hear this, because it is just untrue. Arguably, there is a ton of not good, but fucking great music out there right now. The reason? Well, unarguably there is more music being played and recorded than any other time in the history of the world. The thing is you can't be lazy and need to go out and look for it. There is "good" music for everyone, no matter their tastes. Chances are that music is not going to just find you, especially if you only listen to terrestrial radio, or even satellite radio. If you don't use Pandora or Spotify, start using at least one of them. If you already do and still think, "not a lot of good music no more", well I don't know what to tell you. I guess you just hate music. Ha.
