I have made the same commitment to Truth. It was in a philosophy course on Dostoevsky's "The Brothers Karamazov." It changed my life, caused the scales to fall from my eyes, and see the glorious Christ for what He is. The Light of Truth, the Key to Truth, the Arbiter of Truth.

The fact that anyone is talking other than just the smartest man, kind of drives me crazy Anything anyone else has to say is never going to be said with as much confidence because they don’t actually know Chris knows That’s why he’s comfortable stating the truth

We are multidimensional beings. This reality is solid because that it is the blueprint, design, in consciousness for this particular physical reality. Outside of which there are many 'non-physical' realities alien to that of which we are familier. Outside of which other realities exist that do not resemble this reality what-so-ever.

I like Bernado's take on things. I would take the 'red pill' every time as well. I take unpleasant truth rather than blissful ignorance. Pain can be ignored. The truth can't be.

Mulitple cultures across time and even religions discuss how possessing too much knowledge and truth can make living life a misery. Which is ironic because there is truth in ignorance being blissful.

Has Chris read the Urantia Book? Many of his observations align with the book's teachings. I was particularly impressed by his grasp of our duty to reality which coincides with the teaching of the Supreme Being, the experiential deity, in the book.

Thank you for sharing. Personally i think Chris' answer includes Bernardo's. Search for truth without realization is a mere impulse. There is a risk of reducing knowledge to an emotion and, ultimately, confusing altoghether which is which. Best wishes for this channel!

At 9:01 Chris is perfectly explaining why the higher levels of development in Integral Theory are NOT always a good thing to achieve. I don't know if he knows it but he is touching on multiple aspects of the AQAL map. My own understanding of the world is one that synethsizes some of the aspects Chris is talking about with integral theory including the AQAL map. What's interesting is that the CTMU by large encourages people to take hold of their own individuality while being cognizant of what reality and their collective exteriors around them require. This TOE is one rooted in the 7th level of the AQAL map from what I have derived. I think this is a decent response to the challenges post post-modernism has presented which are all heavily based on 5th and 6th levels of development.

Ramana Maharshi, self-enquiry. The exercise is the only experience, beside experience itself, which is a concept that cleans itself of conceptualization.

We don't have an individual will or identity. Just the perception of one. That said, I think the courageous thing a person can do is live as if there is a higher ordered meaning while knowing that there isn't.

Life is: The most important aim of the universe; Its greatest result; Its most brilliant light; Its subtlest leaven; Its distilled essence; Its most perfect fruit; Its most elevated perfection; Its finest beauty; Its most beautiful adornment; The secret of its undividedness; The bond of its unity; The source of its perfections; In regard to art and nature, a most wondrous being endowed with spirit; A miraculous reality which makes the tiniest creature into a universe; A most extraordinary miracle of divine power that connects the animate creature to most beings and makes it a tiny universe as well as being the means whereby the universe is situated in a tiny animate creature and displays a sort of index of the huge universe in the creature; ...... Hey is there any there where Chris addresses free will more? I’m pretty sold on Robert Supolakys take, and am frankly not that high in my cognitive horse power- so at the moment, I’m sort of sold on this notion of causal chain reaction esk explanation. He will say, upon careful obersvation of your own experience, there is no room for free will and I tend to agree

The words _real_ and _reality_ are being used in different ways here, and getting mixed; and this is causing confusion. Wittgenstein is good on the value of linguistic clarification.

There is only one path to truth and reality. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” So my question is how to encourage people to choose reality. To choose life. Because what I have bumped into is that most folks prefer their illusion to reality. They actually get angry when I hold out eternal life, (which Jesus said is to know the only true God and Jesus Christ, )to them as a choice over anything else in this world. Perhaps it’s my delivery of the offer. My desire is to share the greatest truth ever offered to humanity because of what that truth has given me and it has been rare to see it received with thanksgiving.

Why is identity such a big deal? I don’t get it.
@jordangould1541
@jordangould1541 3 ай бұрын
@@yodafluffy1282 because what you identify as you become. It goes even beyond your current lifetime. God is the original identity, and if you move away from him, you inevitably fall down into the lower aspects of creation. A tree cannot survive without its roots. If a tree only identifies with its leaves, it ceases to be a tree. You must honour and glorify God and move closer towards him. Give thanks and praise to God.

Because of this profound realization I lost interest in material things and materialism. Now I can't enjoy material things and material pleasures any more. Ignorance is bliss indeed. I was happy without this profound realization. I dont regret it. Its is just that it can't be undone After nine years, you know what I realize? Ignorance is bliss." - cipher to mr.smith

Chris's explanation comes from a higher form of logic. The fact that Bernard threw the idea that you'll not be bothered by the unanswered questions simply because you stop carrying is a hint to why his explanation could be summarized as: "I stopped giving a F a long time ago"
