Well, he told the truth for the most part besides 2 things. One, he said Newton wouldn't be drafted, he was in the second round and a lot of people said he would. Second, and I can say this because I am from CT and I'm a huge UCONN fan and watch all their games. Saying Bronny James would be the 4th guard on that team last year behind Newton, Spencer and Castle is being very generous. Bronny would probably have been the 6th guard behind the 3 he mentioned, Hassan Diara, who was the first man off the bench and 6th man of the year in the Big East and Solo Ball, who I think will take a massive leap next year and might be a lottery pick would have been in front of Bronny as well. But, he was right saying he would have been sitting next to Dan Hurleys kid on the bench!!!

@@bgophillysportsfan7017 I agree that the current players are still nowhere close to MJ’s level. Like somebody said about a week ago (a week ago), Jordan was ahead of his time and still time hasn’t caught up to Michael Jordan. You and I know that if LeBron James retired this very second, 90-95% of the world will still have Michael Jordan as The GOAT. The current debate is really whether or not LeBron James deserves the #2 spot. Just be honest bruh. And it’s awesome that LeBron pulled his kid in the league, but as far as being The GOAT on the court, Michael Jordan has locked down 🔒 this position since 1988….36 years and counting my boy.

@@bgophillysportsfan7017 Were the expectations for LeBron James to not get a DUI or to not get caught cheating on his wife? Then I congratulate LeBron James. Were the expectations for LeBron James to make it to 10 NBA Finals, and lose the majority of them? Ok congrats to LeBron James. Were the expectations of LeBron James to score 30,000, 35,000, 40,000, YET LOSE ALL 3 of those GAMES??? Then congrats to LeBron James. Were the expectations to surpass the all-time scoring records of Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, and Kareem Abdul-Jabar, YET LOSE ALL 3 of those GAMES??? Then congrats to LeBron James. But I thought that the expectations for LeBron James were to make it 6 to 10 NBA Finals and to win all 6 to 10 of them, or at least 9 of them, or at least 8 of them, or at least 7 of them, or at or at least 5 of them - at least half of them…so that LeBron James can at least be in the conversation of being on Michael Jordan’s level since Jordan went to 6 NBA Finals and Jordan won all 6 of them without needing EVEN ONE (1) Game 7 to do it. LeBron James needed at least TWO (2) Game 7s to win only 4 NBA Finals OUT OF 10 NBA Finals series. Anybody who reads this comment, without knowing anything else about LeBron’s failures or Jordan’s accomplishments, the person who reads this comment will know that LeBron James is several levels beneath Michael Jordan. But this is okay and it’s normal, because all of the basketball players before and after Michael Jordan at least appear to be several levels beneath Michael Jordan and/or Michael Jordan’s resume. The main expectation for LeBron James was to surpass Michael Jordan, and LeBron James completely and utterly failed to do this….playing in the NBA with his own son, will not change anything between Michael Jordan and LeBron James as far as Michael Jordan being the GOAT of professional basketball and LeBron James being behind and beneath Michael Jordan in every basketball shape, way, and form.

Thank you Mad Dog. Exactly right. We all get his heart condition, so why is he being drafted? It has nothing to do with why he was drafted. It’s a stupid point to bring up. It’s irrelevant. He hasn’t proven he should be drafted…YET! He most likely should still be in college for at LEAST 2 more years to see who and what he develops into as his own basketball player separate from his dad’s name. He SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN DRAFTED! Being drafted is based on his production and he had next to NONE! He’s not his own man yet and whatever hard work and good character he has, has nothing to do with why he was drafted. He got drafted literally because his dad runs the Lakers. If he was drafted for his merits and accomplishments, we would be talking about how well he played in college, his impact on that team last year, their run in the tournament, and what he will legitimately do to help the team he’s on. His dad said he’s better than 80% of the NBA RIGHT NOW! If that’s the case, why is butt buddy JJ making a developmental plan for him and he’s going to ride the bench? If he’s truly THAT GOOD, he should be an immediate starter this year and average somewhere around 17 pts, 6 assists, and 5 rebounds, shoot 48% fgs, 38% 3s, and play at least solid D to help the team be a top 15 defensive team at worst. But we know he won’t, so it’s a bunch of BS. Congratulations Laker Land. Go for that play-in seed again.

Stephen a saying we’re not just looking at basketball, we’re looking at storylines. That is why the nba is garbage now. If you want storylines go watch wwe, go watch reality television. Real fans watch sports because they want to see the best in the world compete against each other ! Ever since lebron went to Miami it’s been a circus that has gotten worst with each year !

If my son had a heart issue, there is no way he would be playing in the NBA. How do we know the heart issue won't surface again at some point as an NBA player? LeBron is said to be a Billionaire, why not have Brony get involved in some of your Business ventures, that could prove to be much more safer in a long run in my opinion!

For those who don’t know, the NBA has always had an element of, who you know gets you in the door. Gary Payton’s son is a defender now but he played for the Bucks as a rookie only because Jason Kidd and his dad are friends. Kidd was playing him whenever possible but he was totally not ready. He’s in the league because Kidd opened the door. There are countless other cases.

The difference is that there's never been such a mismatch between the talent of the person who gets preferential or "nepo" treatment and the opportunity placed in front of them as in the case of Bronny. Even by your example of Gary Payton Jr., he at least was very good in college. He was good in high school. In every case you'll bring up in the NBA of nepo treatment, the beneficiaries at some point, somewhere showed being worthy of such opportunities. Bronny hasn't legitimately shown that. What's going on with Bronny is so over the top starting with his preferential treatment beginning in high school that it was inevitable he was going to get backlash. If Bronny was somewhat legit I guarantee you he would have a lot more support. All of the backlash can't simply be chalked up to jealousy and hate. There's a lot of legitimate criticism of how the process has played out with Bronny's path to the NBA.

GP2 also proved himself in college. Named PAC-12 DPOY twice while also being voted All Conference First Team twice. First ever two time DPOY in conference history while averaging 14.7 PPG, 7.7 rebounds, 4.1 assist, and 2.8 steals. Not saying Bronny couldn't have done the same if he stayed in college, but at least GP2 had a resume that could be considered. What is on Bronny's resume that will at least give him a look?
