Chris Martin in Coldplay admits he is inspired by hidden spiritual powers

In this interview, Coldplay's Chris Martin is rarely candid about the spiritual inspiration behind his music. He tells of a "muse" in the spiritual world. From mythology, we know that a muse is a goddess who inspire art.
Chris Martin says that the band is increasingly being inspired by unknown, spiritual forces. The song "Higher Powers" was one such song, which just "landed" with them.

I watched their live set at Glastonbury last night - I can only conclude Chris Martin is a light worker, and from what he's saying about the song Higher Power, seems yes, he is indeed working for the light allowing it to come through him. Towards the end of the set, there was an amazing audience and band collaboration singing I Will Fix You, and I felt the light, love and connectedness even through the TV. Well done Chris, you're doing a great job

I think he said "Make a..." not "Make her...". Yes, he sees himself as a vessel through which songs get written and doesn't take credit for it. He is spiritual and has written many songs with those themes. In the live performance before the Everyday Life worldwide broadcast, he even got down on his knees and prayed.

I love Chris and Coldplay is my all time favorite band, but him not openly and directly admitting what he calls "the powers that be" as Jesus Christ or God is really, really dangerous and misleading to the gospel

He doesn't need standard religion - he has spirituality, an awareness of a higher power, the creator or source (which you might call 'god') and that is far more valuable - he doesn't need what you call 'salvation'. He spreads love and light through his work ...

Well, it might be, actually. In twelve steps programs like Al-anon or O.A. people talk about a higher power, so whether if you're from a religion o not you can have someting to belive in. And that might be a God, as well as the group itself. I think it's important to have something to believe in. What's sure is that he's absolutely enlightened, because without study and creativity I think his group wouldn't be one of the most wonderful music makers in the world today.

May I say that I do not believe that anybody alive today has "special powers,", with the possible exception of Taylor Swift. I am a baptised Catholic, and the only thing that differentiates me and other Christians from the rest of the world population is that true Christians (who have faith and are completely dependent on God) have a holiness to God. I hope that this helps even one person.

No, not at all. You can be spiritual, have deep beautiful human and heart values without being a Christian. Thanks God 😉 Many people believe in "something", a higher power, and don't need to give it a name. They have their own faith and that's great.
