What a personality. From documentaries I've seen of them and countless interviews the entire band of Coldplay are some of the most precious individuals around. They are amazing performers live and their new album is astounding. Honestly say Coldplay is one of my favorite bands of all time not because they produce beautiful music but as individuals themselves.

I had no idea Brian Eno worked on this album, been a fan of him for years, and this has always been my favorite Coldplay album because of the ambient / eastern (and western! Strawberry swing) sounds in it. It's just beautiful. It puts me at peace. These songs are composed beautifully. Could be used in movies or plays without the vocals.

At first when I heard Princess of China and I heard rihanna was on it, i thought it was going to be an awful song. But it is actually growing on me. I really like it and I don't care the fact that rihanna is on the record. Its coldplay and their music wakes up my heart. I will always follow Coldplay no matter what.

@im8teennow Have you completely misinterpreted the interview? thats not AT ALL what he said. He clearly stated that he's making music for the fans and the fans only. Staying relevant, listening to the constant backlash of criticisms, keeping up w/ his peers doesn't matter to him anymore (though I'm sure it still does). Regardless, as a devoted fan, I think thats refreshing to hear.

Wow after Viva, Eno pushed them to get back into the studio, didn't think that was the case considering the output afterwards. Viva was a benchmark and it seems after it's release they didn't want to keep making albums like that or go in that direction. I wonder why, they were onto something truly special with Viva, and then boom, it all disappeared after that album :(
