Always puts me in a good mood.. One of my 'happy songs'..

I was 14 when this came out. It was the first record & only record I had as all my pocket money had gone on my Dansette Record Player. I drove my parent's crazy playing it over & over..... Ah, happy days.

This was released the year I was born.... we went to see him in Manchester this year (2017) and met him after the show. What a legend and a real gentleman!

Yep, this is the original. Some people are remaking these songs trying to fool us "rock and rollers". Can't fool us. We know every single nuance of every single song of that era. Always be careful when adding to your cd collection to make sure you get a digital remaster of the ORIGINAL recording IF you're looking for the one we danced to in the sixties. Lots of imitation covers out there.

Karen Senior, while listening this song I realize that it has a stereo effect. I don't know if commercial vinyl records were recorded in stereo as early as in 1962. Drums sounds also seem to be a little modified. Anyway, it's a beautiful song.

Ya... Montez even better than Ritchie Valens. Herb Alpert dialed down his sound in mid 60's for those 'adult easy' listening hits

oh yeah!!! that caught me first time I heard it back in 1962! 1.2 ah 1,2,3! I remember it well from back in the Bronx at Junior High dances back in the day the best dancers we would crowd around clapping to the rhythm of the record those memories will never be forgotten as long as any of us are above ground I remember the blue Monogram record label and logo too, still got it

elamite66 Yeah, I like how groovy it sounds.

Mikalo Madge eyes yeah! groovy now there's a word I haven't heard in a while, originally it was for hipsters the cool cats whatever you wanna call them and then it got stuck with the hippy connection In fact hippy was originally a word that met pretty much the same thing until 1967 and the long haired counter culture and it became synonymous! I remember those days being judged by how long your hair was either too long or too short they got tired of the name so they became "freaks"
