It's so rare to see someone like this in media. Capable of seeing levels above and below what someone is saying, tugging one thread and pulling apart an entire thought in a sentence. Intelligent and hilarious guy.

I don't think Chris Morris would take kindly to your suggestion that his comedy would be seen as "right wing and racist" today, even by the hypothetical fantasy "PC brigade".
@jacksmith4460 Жыл бұрын
@@AnthonyFlack you mean the Hypothetical headline selling fictional group, as oppose to the very real wave of narcissistic posturing outrage? or the relentless Hollywood "progression" machine? The last 2 are very real, the first is somewhat BS. I do agree that Chris Morris is not right wing (or left for that matter) he seems quite centrist to me, Although I dont actually know, I am guessing, because I am not him.

taking account of how ruthless some of his comedy programmes are on people, he's an absolute gentleman out of character!

I thought his response was excellent. He made the smart move of analysing the question before attempting to answer rather than the dip-shit move of pretending to understand so as not to look like a dip-shit. The fact that most people are incapable of doing this is the reason he has a career.

And to beat it all instead of making a hypothetical debate scenario, he was genuine and said he couldn't (or didn't want to) think of a response until he hears exactly what was said. He didn't invalidate her (although he did take the piss lol) he also gave her a chance to say what she said she heard and after she didn't remember he at least keeps the dialogue open for the future, but also doesn't give credit to the argument until he hears it actually voiced. Very basic, but very forgotten in this age of the internet. Too many people get pedantic far too quickly for no point.

He did answer the question though by saying He wouldn't know what his response would be until he was approached by an offended British Muslim at a screening. Also, How are you doing 11 years later?
@PaddyRoon73 жыл бұрын
This is the real issue with PC culture, people are scared of being offensive. This woman is worried that Chris has offended british muslims enough to ask a question about it during a Q&A session when it simply hasn't happened. She's worried that it will happen before there's been any inkling that might be the case.
@SnabbKassa4 жыл бұрын
This is the point about PC/woke : It's not demands for censorship by people who got angry because they were targeted, it's censorship on behalf of infantilised others, or self-censorship out of fear.
