I dont think people understand how DANGEROUS the SPURS ARE NOW. CP3 is probably THE BEST PICK AND ROLL PG I've seen. As a die-hard SPURS FAN, he upset the Spurs so much since his New Orleans days w Tyson Chandler then lob city with Griffin and Jordan. BUT the Spurs 5 CHAMPIONSHIPS revolved around the PICK AND ROLL offense w Parker and Duncan. They literally just brought back the ORIGINAL SPURS TYPE OF PLAY W these 2 players only.... 😮😮😮

HE MANIPULATES THE REFS CALLS AND THROWS HIMSELF IN THE DEFENDER OR BRAKE CHECKS BUT ALWAYS SHOOTS AFTER HE HIMSELF MAKES CONTACT TO GET TO THE FREE THROW LINE. HALF HIS POINTS ARE FREE THROWS. HES IN THE TOP 7 IN FT ATTEMPTS. WHILE CARRYING THE BALL 60% OF THE TIME! HES LITTERALLY THE WHITE LEBRON WHEN IT COMES TO FOUL CALLS IN HIS FAVOR, THE FLOPPING, THE CRYING TO THE REFS, CRYING TO THE CROWDS THAT TALK TRASH TO HIM.. REAL BASKETBALL PEOPLE SEE RIGHT THROUGH THE SALES PITCH! THAT'S A SLOW DEFENSELESS PLAYER WHO USES THE REFS FOR HALF HIS CREDIT. HE GET CALLS FOR JUST LOOKING AT HIM...HES A CRY BABY AND AN ANTAGONIST W THE OPPOSING CROWDS. HES OVERRATED. Take away todays NBA weak star favoring foul calling, and he's a basic backup player. "If it makes sense to sign any 39 y/o, it's Chris Paul." Literally every team that has signed Chris Paul saw an increase in win % (Warriors included). I'm not ready to say they'll become a playoff team right away, but he will make everyone on that team better in the short and long term.

Tbh I don’t think that would be wise. Spurs aren’t gonna win anything next season, they’re young and Lauri is currently in his prime. They’re not in the same timeline. Butttt I could be wrong Lauri is still young enough, I just fear that the jazz would ask too much for him

SGA, the runner-up in the MVP race in 2023-24, attributes a lot of his success towards the guidance and mentorship of Chris Paul If he can do the same for Stephon Castle, then the Spurs are gonna be set for the next decade.

With CP3 a stronger and more experienced Wemby is likely to perform 20% better than last year's amazing showing plus play additional minutes. CP3 could also play 15% better than last year and play additional minutes. Sochan and Vessell are also likely to improve due to more experience and from CP3's history of improving his teammates' performance. That makes for a formidable team. PS. At 20% better Wemby could dominate the league.
