Pratt isn’t bad. The Italian version isn’t any better with the guy rolling his r’s that way. The perfect voice is a parody of an Italian accent with the traditional high pitched tone at the end. Pratt could have easily done this. I wonder why they didn’t coach him that way. The French is the best though. The German hilarious.

It’s not Chris Party’s voice that I don’t like per se, but the delivery of the second line is just so flat. The key thing to the French, besides having a pitch that is more in line with the game (I also like the French Bowser’s tone better too), is that the pitch of the line itself goes up at the end, making it exciting and adventurous. Chris Pratt’s goes down at the end, literally falling flat, and makes it dull and sound as if he’s not into it. It’s weird bc I think he did a good job voice acting in the Lego Movies not sure why it doesn’t come through here. That all being said, still a poor fit.

Same thing happened with the Halo TV show, but there were many more things wrong with that, so I'm actually glad the original voice actor wasn't caught up in it. Always imagine it stings though, voicing a character for years, or in this case, decades, only to be replaced by someone who doesn't even sound like the character.

Spanish sounded like a villain to me initially. I think it's really just bc it's older and kid's cartoons have a habit of not having adult characters unless as villains or supportive side characters who speak more in a soft melancholy then with the deep breathiness of Spanish Mario. But I agree, it's one of the best performances of this video and definitely brings its own very unique charme to the character. It works for Mario but removes him a little from the fairy tale of his character. Which given so far the movie seems like a sort of Mario origin story, starting him of as just a regular dude, that's pretty fitting.

Latin America Mario and Bowser actors are amazing Bowser specially sound like a Villain. That’s because they use Professional Voice Actors not Actors. What VA should give to any role is give life to a character, example in Toy Story I don’t say that’s Tom Hanks, I say hey that’s Woody.
