For anyone who wants to know (and the reason he said it only works 50% of the time) if you notice at the very beginning when Will I Am puts the card back in the middle deck he puts it face up (about 8:37 in) when the entire rest of the deck is face down. This makes it super easy to find the correct card and hide it for the latter part of the trick. The skillful part here is how he manages to get the correct card back in the set of cards he puts in wills hand at the end and the "slapping" motion to get the rest of the cards knocked away but the Ace. Edit: My guess also is that the reason you have the person put the other 2 cards face up on the top of the two side stacks is to sort of mentally program the person to be more likely to put their card face up when they put it back in the middle deck.
@contactknoxy2 жыл бұрын
Agreed Will I am made a mistake BUT Chris already has the trick set up with two 4 's on the top of the deck (the 4's add to of turn and turn 4 chances) and the ace is the third card down. The shuffle at the start is done so all these cards remain on top and when the piles are laid out the 3rd pile in the middle is the top of the deck. I can't work out how he sorts the ace into the mix at the end though......

Card trick explained as best I can(no hands on experiencs): Deck split into 3 parts, the top being the middle, he didn't do a shuffle in front of them(even with a shuffle u can force the top few cards, and a random deck you can check with practice when showing they're all different). Wills card was 3rd from the top on the full stack. Shuffle doesn't matter cause he knows the card. When he's going through the cards has actually organizing them. When he shows the last 2 of the guess, there's 2 cards in the hand that goes on top of the guessing stack, so the audience thinks all cards are wrong. When he puts all the cards between wills fingers he slides the top card slightly forward so that card has more grip than the rest of them. The swat knocks out all except the top card(being correct). The slides and forcing are all from slow practice and mirrors for practicing held angles, I only know because the only card trick I can do is the hidden card snap, in my eyes it's very similar slight of hand
@D_Trade5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the explanation, makes perfect sense. I do a few card tricks and struggled to figure this one out other than sliding Will's card forward just enough for the grip to hold so when he smacked them it remained.
