Adam MacDougall is so underrated! RIP Neal. Is there a better singer than Chris Robinson?

Neal Casel is probably the best guitar player that nobody has heard of. His jams here and with Ryan Adams and the cardinals are incredible

58:40 mins shows a bit of funky stank versatility. Those of you looking for Black Crowes, go to a Black Crowes page/video. CRB are great in concert. Seriously. Just listen and see if it pleases. Very chill and dancy.

Don’t worry about the comparison. I love the Black Crowes and CRB. Both are great on their own way

I think more appreciation needs to go to the bass player who held the space for the others.
@buddersmith4 жыл бұрын
I am giving full and sufficient appreciation to them all for everyone. And for the space they were taking up and the sounds they are filling into the space in my ears right now.

Second bass player was good, but loved Mark "Muddy" Dutton. Super nice dude too. Wasn't the same for me after loss of original rhythm section.

Love the band. Loved the first three studio albums. Had a hard time getting into the later albums... Now that it's been awhile, maybe I gotta check them out...

WE LOVE THE CRB.

He could have very easily done The Black Crowes part 2, but he took things in a different direction. I just like his voice, so I was very pleasantly surprised to hear this direction.

Russ Coffin , I love the CRB. I was a huge Crowes fan. saw them 9 times. Great every time. I love the direction he's taken this band. Great group of players. The guy is as authentic as it gets
@russcoffin10106 жыл бұрын
"Authentic' is a good word here. It takes a lot of courage to follow your own heart, especially when many people are wanting something else from you.

Thank you for this. I've enjoyed just about every live CRB tune I've heard on Sirius radio in the past year or two. And I was looking forward to catching them live when they get down here to south Florida. But I have to say, if this is a fair representation of their live shows, I may change my mind. Perhaps Sirius just plays the band's highlights(?) I don't know. To me they use way too much electric piano on this show and overall they just don't seem to provide the same "oomph" that I've heard on the radio. Hopefully this show is the exception, not the norm. :-)
@Henrydingus011237 жыл бұрын
scalemiester You should see them for sure. They don't destroy every show but it's not rare either. This soundboard recording isn't a good representation of what it sounds like to be there also. It helps to get your mind right also of course.

Explain somebody please. I think I like it and want to know more about these songs and these guys and their brothers and their mothers brothers mothers...you know what I mean. I bet bc i feel these lyrics came from very specific true events. And I love that. History in the making. Family bands are the best.

Kimock7 Hi, sorry for the late reply. I didn't record this one, but I have recorded others in the past. i am on mac, so can only speak for that. I have used the Quicktime software that comes with MacOS to do it. This was one was recorded by cristian (see below commenter) and if you need windows suggestions, I'm sure he can help you out.

This is way too Dead for me. Partly due to the rhythm section. I'll go find some Crowes instead.

@thepeacefrogs86919 жыл бұрын
Why you say that
@Kimock7Autism9 жыл бұрын
you have PEE in your ears, sir. CRB is immensely fine blowing many a mind bringing America back to the roots of what inspired The Rolling Stones, Grateful Dead, Allman Brothers, and Justin Beiber
@themerryprankster449 жыл бұрын
Why? Is it because of his awesome new band with great musicians and eclectic sets every show?
@jasonlee84978 жыл бұрын
+Kimock7 - no, this is what happens when you take too much lsd. You leave a great, great band and start an 'acid nostalgia band'.
@jasonlee84978 жыл бұрын
The Black Crowes were exciting and daring. This is boring and rambling.
@icedteef8 жыл бұрын
If you waited 2 decades to leave a band and do your own thing, would you make the new band play the same old songs? Seems obvious, Chris formed his own band to play his own music. It will be different. (Lean towards your own preference.) Take what you need and leave the rest.
@vladimirmihajlovic24858 жыл бұрын
I think it's a great and logical continuation of what he was doing with The Crowes.
@TheRasiani5 жыл бұрын
This isn't the Black Crows. The Black Crows were an FM radio 'hits' rock band. There is much more music being played here. If you're not into it, go listen to the Crows.
@kingultramaga51825 жыл бұрын
I do love the Crowes but this is much better in my humble opinion. Definitely a band I travel for.
@gregorykrug80342 жыл бұрын
The Black Crowes (especially from Southern Harmony through Amorica) were amazingly great. What else do you want? CRB is better than most.
@LucaMontana78 жыл бұрын
This reminds me of The Jerry Garcia Band, only Chris's tone is not good...and his solos are a bit hollow and doesn't compare to Jerry at all. With the Crowes they had a Black Hawk and a F-16 for guitarists...in Skynnard they had 3 F-16's (their guitarists)...in essence, the guitarists with their crunch and tone and riffs really made the band stand out...I get it but I agree with other peeps...I think Chris sounded more intense and better with the Crowes. Steve Gorman was a solid drummer...I think he was more solid than Chad Smith (RHCP)...and all around TBC had an amazing sound...this is just too flat for my taste...no offense to anyone...guess I still like things leaded as much as possible...
