Any Steelers fans remember when Big Ben threw 12 TDs in TWO games (NFL record)?? Yeah. Pickett had 13 TDs in 24 games. I dont miss the guy. His petulant attitude and big act. Never should have been drafted in first round. Wth were the Steelers thinking!?!

They were thinking that they didn't want to make the same mistake twice from passing on Dan Marino many years ago. If Kenny didn't play for Pitt the Steelers would've never drafted him let alone in the 1st round.

Yeah maybe if you actually treated him right things would be different. He has a decent rookie year then follows it up with an awful year with the worst OC in football. Looks good then gets hurt you then start Rudolph over him even after he was healthy because he looked good also after you fired the OC. Then you sign Wilson and tell him he's not even going to get the nod for first team reps. He won't be special but could have been an Andy Dalton type.

Probably based off potential. Minshew is a career backup or low end starter. Pickett is still young and was a 1st rd pick. Probably a ceiling thing

I always said Pickett would be a quality backup in the league. That assumption seems accurate at this point. The Steelers do look like fools for drafting him in the first round. We can all agree on that

I will say little about guys outside the top 32 QBs with the bottom of the 32 starters are questionable backups. Stidham has never faced a prepared defense because he has never been a real starter with more than a few starts in a row. Picket and Minshew forced to start 17 games on a below average offense, I can't say who would win more games. If Pickets checking down he should be better than his current sub-80 rating while Minshew has a 90 rating even if he got that by checking down.
