Well, if you're referring to Phil Rudd...he tried to hire a hitman and got caught...then he got busted for meth. I heard he got off of everything, but AC/DC was pretty much like, "dude, you need to get your act together." So they went back to baldy!

I know he switched drum company some years ago. The kit he used at The Razors Edge Tour with AC/DC was from Pearl. He uses DW now. However i have seen him play a similar kit sometimes. Maybe it depends on occasion. After all he is 68 now and probably don't have the same power he had when he was 46. But he's still really good. Hope AC/DC will call him back if Phil is out.

He uses them on thunderstruck I know that much. I think he also uses them on a few of the older songs like tnt and dirty deeds. I hope they do call him back for the tour. (If rudd doesn't make it)

Don't worry, he still uses them ;) For this show, it was a fly-date to Russia so it was a locally sourced kit - Not always easy to have a kit PLUS the mounted kicks

It's very difficult for a drummer to drum in the style that is required by the band. Both Simon Wright and Chris Slade have very different drumming styles then each other and Phill Rudd. They always have had to alter their drumming style to fit into AC/DC's sound. Phil never had to adjust his drumming style because his style of play was used in part to create the band's sound in the first place. That's why the band sounds so much better when Phil is behind the kit. I mean no disrespect towards Chris's and Simon's ability to play by saying that. All 3 of these drummers are fenominal in my opinion and to have to replace Phil even if it may be temporary, is a very dounting task. In closing, AC/DC couldn't have found any better replacement drummers then Chris or Simon.

Chris Slade hasn't and most likely doesn't care to improve his chops... sloppy..no groove..he would make out better in a tribute Punk Rock band..i mean wtf happened to his playing..he had a basic decent groove and rhythm when he was drumming with Supergroup The Firm..check out the video byThe Firm "RADIO ACTIVE" was that just an experiment with his playing style or WTF happened man..his playing has only gotten worse with aging of course..Phil Rudd is still a machine 2023.. but no touring the states bcse we cannot accept foreign criminal records of his demeanor..
